Media days are this week. They start on Wed the 22nd and go till Friday the 24th. Ut will be presenting on the 24th (last school to go time-wise actually).

I was offered to go this year w/ media pass by the news station I internshipped at last summer, but I had to turn it down as my cousin's wedding is at the same time and I will be there

You are thinking about the SEC spring meetings that were in Destin, where Spurrier tried to attack Kiffin on the elevator.

BTW, they SEC marketing arm was smart about the scheduling for this week. They have Meyer being the last coach speaking on Thursday, and they saved the best for last. Kiffin is the last coach that will speak on Friday.

If a mod wants to merge sounds good but if title of thread does not have announcement time we will be answering that question over and over. Jesse himself said he is announcing on ESPN Wed this is the only time it can be it is CFB live. IMO

And I am so lame I forgot to say Wednesday in title so if a Mod can fix that too it would be great.

Your cousin? Are you serious? You turned down a week at media days to go to a stinking wedding... and for a cousin at that?

Had to. Close family (being there for family events is big in my family). And we had RSVP'd for it way before the news anchor got in touch with me again (which was a few weeks ago).

Believe me, I would have liked to go again. I've already been once though (went last year w/ media passes - SO much fun!), so I'm glad I had that chance.

And honestly, I really do still like going to memphis and my family there. It's like those old "eat, drink, and be merry" scenes when we're up there, and I haven't seen a lot of them in a long time.

not sure if its been posted/answered, but theres a video interview with scroggins at th 7on7.. posted on scout today, anyone with a subscriptionn want to tell us wwhat he said???

Wow, that's right before the SEC media days and his Elite 11 thing. Maybe it's timed to give the media another reason to talk about UT all week.
Kiffin does think these things out. And then Scroggins could help recruit and get the word out at the Elite 11.

Let's not blow up our recruiting ego balloons and float off into the clouds just yet...

I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic. Being up against one of the top collegiate programs in the past decade really, really scares me. Not to mention the obvious in that it's in the kid's own backyard. If it was any other school I'd be sending it on in with a Vols stamp on it.

Espn must think he is going to commit to USC.. You know they wouldn't cover it if they thought there was any chance of him comming here..I hope he puts on the power T...

I agree. I feel pretty much the same way about this.

Am going to be at work, but will try to find either a TV or computer to check up on it that day
