“For official visits, I’ll focus on national schools,” said Burnett. “I can take as many unofficial visits as I want to the L.A. schools. The two I know for sure are Oklahoma and Tennessee. And West Virginia and Nebraska are still in the picture, but no matter what, I’m going to Oklahoma and Tennessee.”

Another program with a new coaching staff that Burnett likes is Tennessee. “They have the greatest defensive coordinator ever (coach Monte Kiffin), so that speaks for itself,” he said. “The new coaches are upgrading everything there.”

The Vols are likely to get an official visit from Burnett as he’s said he’s not going to take official trips to any local schools. “I’m trying to take some unofficial visits to Arizona, Arizona State and maybe even Cal before the end of the month,” he said. “I’m looking at heading to the Arizona schools the last weekend in August (Aug. 29-30).

"I was never really tempted to commit only because going in to the visit, my mind was set on taking all my visits. So I was never really thinking that way. Still Washington really moved up on my list a lot and they're definitely one of my top schools right now."

Burnett said he hasn't set up any other visits yet but does have a good idea where he'll take his next couple of trips.

"I want to take all my visits and I'm in the process of setting a visit with Oklahoma and also with Arizona. I definitely want to take all five but I'm not sure about those last two right now. Tennessee is a favorite of mine and I like West Virginia, Oregon State and a few others as well.

We are in the hunt for some LBs. This was a recruiting weakness a couple of months ago. Just ecstatic that we have Irvin

Culver City is like 30 minutes from USC and even a little closer to UCLA I think. I wonder why they havent offered.
