I have a question: Have we ever played a regular schedule that ended up with 10 of our opponents going to bowls?

Yes, I know that there are more bowls than ever before and that 6-6 teams can get in (which I disagree with).

I also realize that our underperforming may have allowed Vandy and SC to become bowl teams.

But the questions stands ... have we ever before faced a slate of opponents where ten of them (83 %) would go on to bowls?

I don't think it matters. Bowls are so diluted now, not that I'm complaining because any football is better than no football, but after the Miss St. / Miami (OH) both teams had a losing record...both teams.

If we had played half as well as tonight, we would have easily beaten uscjr and vandy. Either way, congrats to this team for all of their accomplishments! Special win tonight, no doubt about it

5-7 teams get into bowls nowadays.

I think the real question should be has a Tennessee team ever enabled two teams worse than Vandy and South Carolina to go bowling before?
