Claude Johnson has a secret to tell. Hes now a fan of the Ole Miss Rebels.
But he has good reason to be, as the Pine Bluff quarterback has received a scholarship offer from the Rebels. While Johnson said he wasnt a fan of Ole Miss before the offer, he is now of fan of Houston Nutts team.
I kept it as a secret because I didnt want too many people to know, said Johnson of the scholarship offer.
But now, the cat is out of the bag. Johnson, a junior for the Zebras this season, has put up staggering numbers through his first four games. While Pine Bluff coach Bobby Bolding wasnt sure exactly how many yards Johnson had thrown for, Bolding said its somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,200 or 1,300 yards.

Mississippi has already offered a scholarship to Pine Bluff quarterback Claude Johnson. Tennessee and Oregon could join Ole Miss in the near future.
"What will play a big role in picking a school will be playing time, the environment and my education," said Johnson, who finished second in the Arkansas Top Gun Quarterback Challenge last summer and had the long throw of 64 yards.
Johnson, 6-1, 200, 4.6, threw for more than 2,800 yards and 34 touchdowns with 3 interceptions as a junior. He completed 56 percent of his passes.
Arkansas is also among those interested in Johnson as a football player, a list that includes LSU, Miami, UCLA, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Alabama, Notre Dame, California and Clemson.
