Great analysis, but I don't think we will even get a bowl game. We travel well and money talks and hell it's only a 3 hour drive to Nashville for the MCB...God help us if we get an invite to the Belk Bowl in Birmingham! I won't go... I drove through there last night on I-65 North and there were zero working street lights, none. Bammers can't even keep the lights on in their biggest city.

This could happen IF bUTch makes a change at Q.B. and runs last years offense and also changes our middle linebacker to the best player and not the one who has seniority......

Our backs were supposed to be “against the wall” when we played Georgia and look what happened. The team has quit on this staff from the looks of it.

We were not going to win the UGA game, even if we played well. UGA is seriously good this year. They're even better than we thought they'd be before the season started -- and no one was predicting that we would beat them back then.

I do think the team quit at some point, but I think it had more to do with their efforts being negated by awful QB play. And like any other aspect of team preparation, the coaches bear some responsibility for that.

I think if we can get a little bit better consistency out of the QB position then we have a chance against SC. Unless the players have been reading this site, in which case they probably don't believe anything they do will make a difference.

Either you have not been watching this offense lately; or listening to CBJ's press conferences; or watching the teams' body language on the sideline; or watching the 2018 recruiting class implode.....or the changes you have in mind involve kidnapping the entire UGA or Bama squads, including the staffs, and sending them out in UT uniforms.


That's the only way 10-2 might happen. Right now, this team will be lucky to get 6 wins.


Sad, but true. You'll have plenty of room to stretch out in Neyland.

I'm going to resist my initial urge and ask for the analysis supporting this assertion other than a desperate emotional appeal.

You can start by addressing how CBJ will get the confidence of his players again.

Then, I'd love to hear a breakdown of how our offensive strategy will change to generate more points that our defense will allow.

If by chance QD or JG can learn to throw a pass to a receiver without the receiver having to break stride, stop and do a 180, or jump 11' off the ground on every attempt then UT might have a chance. Also quit wasting time with the draws and screens that every player in the conference can see developing.

This is what kills me about the feeding frenzy among part of our fan base. Before the season, the consensus was that 8 wins (many fans said 7 wins) would get Butch another year. Now 10 wins MIGHT save him.

It just seems like people are trying to out-hysterical one another.

And in year 5, you still lost to your 3 biggest rivals, 2 in blowout fashion most likely, and the other to the worst Florida team in 30 years, and finished 3rd in the East.

Even 10-3 with a loss to Bama, while slight improvement, still looks like a polished turd.

I like it. I mean it's more likely I'll win the lottery, but I have played those odds a few times, so why not.

Obviously someone needs to go, but I don't see it happening before the 14th, so it's easier to just hope for 9-3, I mean 10-2, and tune this out.
