Can really see those "bad shots" coach was talking about in this link

I guess I like to see the positives. Some of those shots were bad because the defensive intensity was really good. We may struggle on offense at times and we may get beat by some bigs, but this team's length should be an advantage on defense. If Tyndall can truly coach a matchup zone, then we will see a defense we never saw with the former staff. Also, Woodson has a nice touch within 8 feet. If he loses a few more pounds, he could really make an impact.

These practices are fast paced unlike when Martin was here. I think we'll be one of the best conditioned teams in the nation if we can stay in games until the stretch run could win some in the final minutes.

Wow. Tyndall is coaching everybody to go to their left hand when they are laying it in from the left side. Why more coaches don't drill their teams more on that I don't know, but I'm telling you folks, that's good stuff.

I'll bet he is drilling his shot blockers NOT TO swat the ball too. That gets the blocker a big cheer, but the opponent gets the ball out of bounds with the clock stopped to reset the offense.

The little thinks other coaches may not have emphasized will get us a few points a game, enough to make the difference between winning and losing some. I like what I'm seeing from Tyndall and staff.

The idea of Dom not playing big minutes is crazy. The kid is a load and sucks in rebounds and eats space in the paint. Nice short hook and gets put back up quick without taking dribble.

Has to be conditioned first or all of that won't matter because he won't be able to get back down the court for offense or defense. He's on pace for big minutes though with all of the work he's putting in. The team needs him.

Is Dom in better shape than Brian Williams during his senior season? I completely forgot about BW and the amount of weight he had to lose. Kind of similar.

CA can you expound on what it means for you to say you are a believer in Donnie?

I've seen the intensity that he coaches with in practice and I believe his match-up zone will be extremely tough to beat once he gets the guys running it correctly. Running it correctly is the challenge. It has lots of complex rotations and assignments. Your assignment in it is directly related to what personnel and formation the opposing team is running. Once the guys get to the point where they are reacting and not having to think about where they're supposed to be I think we will be tough to handle.

The system is good, now we need to land the players to run it at a high level. I think we have some solid pieces in place already. I think our posts will be tough once they are developed. If this team had a legitimate point guard option I would feel a lot better about the coming season.

Hey guy I've been meaning to ask you about Money Moore's jump shot this year. Does it look improved?

From the interviews it sounds like the players are having a hard time learning the new defense. It's a big step up from just playing mainly man to man, with a splash of 1-3-1. Love teams that Zone though, especially when the other team is having a hard time knocking down the 3.
