#1 vs #2! Are you boys hyped?!?!?!?!

Got to take it one game at a time...Auburn is next..And they are dangerous...They got nothing to lose...Pay attention to the business at hand and THEN worry about Tiger high..The game won't mean anything if We don't beat the War damn Tigers

Dont overlook Auburn...and why is UT number 2? Kansas going to drop?

Are you thinking that a loss to an almost top 10 Texas might allow them to hang onto their spot? I don't know - I doubt it...they won't drop far, but I think they get passed. I would guess Duke will fall below UT and Kansas, and UT will pass Kansas.

we're fans. It's our job to look ahead

Even IF Tennessee lost to Auburn, Tennessee would still be the number 2 ranked team come Saturday. Just sayin'.

So if we are ranked at number 2, that 1 vs. 2 matchup is a LOCK. Doesn't matter. Plus, fans speculating wildly that we will win the national championship for the next 10 years in a row doesn't impact the game, one way or another. We're just a bunch of dumb fans.

ill be in D.C.anyone from there?

I am. My plans for Saturday are still up in the air, but I'll shoot you a pm if ESPNzone becomes an option.

Since it appears you aren't from the area, let me recommend the crystal city sports pub as the best sports bar in the area (and one of the best in the country, imo). From the district, its just a quick metro ride down the blue or yellow lines, or a relatively inexpensive cab ride (15$, depending on where you are...the key is to make a lowball (10) offer first).

Even if you can't make it this time, just put it on your list...its a cool spot. Here's a link: Crystal City Sports Pub

i'm pumped up. we've handled pressure well at times, and then not so well at other times...but i think we'll step up saturday.

I said this in another thread, but it is interesting that Tennessee and Memphis are 1 and 2 in the RPI as of right now. That could change after they each play their next game, but still. Seems like a rare thing for the 1 vs 2 team in the coaches, AP (I hope) and RPI all at once to meet and play, in the regular season no less.

I do not think we will lose to Auburn the Vol fans at the game will be crazy. I can only think what it would be like to win the next three and play Kentucky Sunday March 2 , it would surley be March madness.

I will be one of those fans, and I will be sure to do my part to not make you a liar on the "crazy" part. :good!:

I will be at BW3's in Champaign Illinois, in my JaJuan home jersey, in a crowd of U of I fans, and pouring my heart out for the Vols....I hope they don't make me look like a fool, I at least want a fantastic Finished if we don't pull it out!!!

So you don't think Tennessee being #1 in men's basketball - for the first time ever - is a bigger deal than retaining our lead in the SEC standings win or lose against a slight over .500 Auburn squad?

YES EXACTLY!!!!!!!:dance2:

Anyone who doesn't agree with this knows nothing about college basketball and the talent in takes to be ranked #1!!!!!

Yeah , once we beat Auburn Blaker won't even watch the Memphis game. It's OOC, who cares?

How is the ESPN zone in the district? I haven't been.
Not a bad place at all. Three levels, tv's all over and tons of games. The food, well I'd suggest going to Chinatown first and eating some seafood. ESPN Zone is not the best place for food....or, on the other hand...have a few bloody mary's and the food will be excellent. :)
