Nice to see Malik getting some recognition. Especially considering Orgeron told him he wouldn't be able to play here - Nice talent evaluation. I wonder if they considered J. Jackson for the safety position or not since he is not currently enrolled.
Sad that our roster didn't populate more of that list.

better title might be "Malik Jackson on list of SEC top performers" but you went another direction

Not saying he should be on the list, but I'd say Justin Hunter is a better athlete than Jeffrey, granted Jeffrey is the better receiver, but athleticism wise, I'd pick Hunter.

This is why its driven me crazy all off season when people continually post that Malick needs to be moved back to the End position.

He was the best lineman when he was playing End last year, but he became a terror at Tackle. Good to see the press acknowledges that.

Alshon Jeffrey is a monster athlete

Receiver, yes...athlete, not near the athlete as many..including #2 on that list..he's not near the best jumper, nowhere close to fastest, or quickest...he's physical, and has good hands..that doesn't equal best athlete in the SEC

I read got as far as most versitle and it said Richardson and I quit reading. I think hes an elite back. But what else can he play?

That's what got me..just like alshon as best athlete. They want to mention the big time names as much as possible, and don't think about what the category means..TR isn't near the most versatile and AJ isn't near the best athlete...they just figure they can't go wrong listing those big names anywhere

QB is the biggest question mark in the SEC. You could have a dozen people with as many different opinions for the top 2 QB's going into this season. There isn't one "proven" QB IMO. Murray and Bray showed the most upside IMO, but sophomore slumps can be killers.

Richardson is a PR and KR as well as being one of the most dynamic RB's in the country. He is versatile as far as playing 3 positions and he can run between the tackles or on the perimeter. He also has pretty good hands and runs routes well out of the backfield. I think T-Rich is a pretty versatile player IMO

The top 2 should be Murray and Bray, I don't know how Relf keeps getting into the discussion to be honest.

Because he will put up gawdy (all purpose)numbers out of Mullins' Spread system. (Bray might be top 3 at this point if the category was Pro-Style QB).

Maurice Couch, Janzen Jackson, Brent Brewer, Byron Moore, (healthy) Jacques Smith, all of these have the potential of having a first team SEC season on defense. I would expect that at least 1 other will.

2 Vols on the All SEC and an overall extremely improved defense. Probably around 6th in the conference, and with the 4th or 5th best offense, it will be a great 8 win season prior to the bowl game.

Low expectations can be a gift. It's really a waste of energy to care about this ridiculous preseason mental masturbation.

I will regard next season a success if we are competitive in every game, that is, no repeats of the collapses against Oregon, Georgia, or Bama. I will feel this way whether we end up 4-7, 8-3, or, as I expect, something in between.
