#1 SEC Passing Touchdowns Leader

I don't see Dobbs ever getting hit hard, his vision is strong he knows when and where immediately, even when he gets a blitz or missed block and sacked from behind, he just doesn't take hard hits, freak athlete period.

Well against Florida he had 399 total yards and 5 TDs (4 Passing). and Georgia he had 4 more TDs (3 passing) so pretty good. Against A&M he had a career high 398 passing yards as well. We can skip over Bama.

Even more impressive is FL has only allowed 7 passing TDs all season but 4 of them are from Dobbs.

Kinda squashes the haters' narrative while also exposing them as idiots.

He can't be ahead of Hurt's from Alabama he's up for Heisman and he plays behind a bad Oline. He's best running QB ever just ask Bama.

But I thought our offense sucked. FIRE DEBORING, etc.

It does and we should. He is a grat QB but the offense put him in crap situations on numerous times. If they would have shown him they had more confidence in his skills, I bet we would have beat Tam and SC.

Let see, 9 of those TDs came in the last 3 weeks against some of the worst teams in the country. And from memory, I believe he only had 3 total against App St,
Bama, USC, and A&M. Really not a historic achievement here.

So, I'm pretty sure other SEC teams played crappy teams also. What is your point? :loco:

Outside of Bama, LSU, and FL I haven't seen any SEC teams playing very good Defense on a consistent basis.

Considering some of you love to state the obvious on Myles Garrett getting most of his sacks against lower level and FCS teams when comparing him to Barnett............. Now lets not give Dobbs credit when he stacks up stats vs lower level and FCS teams........hmm what did Dobbs do vs Bama, A&M, Florida, Georgia...........fair is fair, so I would not put too much stock in Dobbs being the leader

Too bad you missed the games he lite A&M, Florida, and Georgia up. But hey you got Bama correct thanks for playing.

That only makes Dobbs' performance this year even more impressive. He is constantly running and taking hits, yet has remained uninjured.

Does he lead in QB rushing TDs? He leads in passing TDs, TD passes longer than 20yds, runs the ball 12-20 times a game, and has shown amazing durability while doing so.

All behind a patchwork OL.

I will just say this, I am glad he played for us. He has been a prime example of student athlete, and surely a role model for lots of kids. Education and sports can go together. He has been great on the field and off the field. How far long do you guys have to go to find a similar guy who had this kind of impact everywhere for the vols?

UF has given up six passing TDs through 11 games and Dobbs scored four of those.

UT's offense racked up nearly 700 yards vs A&M, so he roasted their defense too.

And let's not forget how he broke Bulldog hearts with one of his TDs against UGA.

Bama of course pushed our Oline around like ragdolls, so I really don't fault Dobbs for his lack of production versus that great D.

All in all except for the App State game was the DeBord really was "DeBoring" and the USC game Dobbs has played very well.

Funny how people make asinine cut and run comments like this, get proven wrong, then don't come back to own it.

There is a lot of overlap with this type of poster and the ones that get bent out of shape over something CBJ says in press conference.

I didn't realize that we were the only team that played losing teams to pad our stats.

No doubt, that has to be addressed. Craziest thing I've ever seen and it was both sides of the ball.

Went back and rewatched the Florida game the other day, we really didn't start playing well till like 8:40 in the third quarter. It was literally only 24 minutes of the team playing up to it's true talent level; very frustrating.

Good for Dobbs...but a lot of QBs have been injured this year.

Showing up is a very important trait in being successful. Dobbs has taken a pounding but has proven to be very durable. As an NFL coach said, "it's not enough to be good, you have to be present."

As for many of the TDs being thrown in recent weeks. Most teams get to string their tough opponents out over the entire season with some easy games interspersed in between. Vols schedule is ridiculous in that all of the tough teams are in consecutive weeks and then the last month is easy. A strong AD needs to work to change this.

No he is not perfect and yes he struggles with accuracy at times. This is when his coaches should have called for more Va Tech type plays. Have your Qb drop back send everyone downfield and then let him run with the defense spread apart. Vick couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat but that was his bread and butter play. Almost won a NC doing it too. I am so glad Dobbs was our qb just think what our record would have been without him back there. Not to mention what a CLASS ACT to represent the vols.

Fair enough. TAM and Bama weren't too good, but he gets a ton of credit for the Georgia and Florida wins....7 TD passes in those two games.
