#1 SEC Passing Touchdowns Leader

Also, isn't Dobbs top in the SEC in TD passes of 20+ yards? Seems strange because a lot of people on here said he cant hit anything over 10 yards.

Let see, 9 of those TDs came in the last 3 weeks against some of the worst teams in the country. And from memory, I believe he only had 3 total against App St,
Bama, USC, and A&M. Really not a historic achievement here.

Other QB's play poor defenses, no?

That's funny. Stats vs. KY and Mizzou count for other teams, but not allowed for us, I guess. And we don't dare mention his TDs vs. Florida, Georgia or A&M. Take your high-pitched whine elsewhere.

So as a college football fan do we forget about D.Watson against Pitt and Lamar Jackson's performance against Houston? Or do we not count those stats? I'm assuming those arguing against Dobbs stats would consider both of these QB's better.

GO VOLS!!!!!

Dobbs should be the 1st team All-SEC QB, unless Hurts gets it for leading Bama to an undefeated no. 1 ranking

One of the most interesting aspects of Volnation is that any time someone praises Dobbs, the same posters rush to minimalize him.

Dobbs is much better than people realize. Had some inconsistencies at times but has really only had 1 bad game (at SC). Our OL is not very good and has been the source of most of those troubles. If he weren't the athlete that he is we'd be seeing the same offenses of 2013-2014 with Worley at QB.

So all of the other QBs in the SEC played top 10 teams every week. They had zero cupcake on their schedule. SMH.

You have to understand how VN actually works. Any other QB can light up bad defenses and they are world breakers but not Dobbs. Take Lamar Jackson. He can light up teams like Charlotte, Virginia, Syracuse and Marshall and thats fine. Dobbs lights up a legit defense like UF and some other bad teams but it doesnt matter, Dobbs sucks.

Well UGA/UF/A&M =
947 yards passing
8TD
5INT (couple were clearly on receiver)
163 yards rushing
3 rushing TDs
1 receiving TD

Thanks for bringing up the UF game, I think it was the highlight of his season.

The Florida game was their lowlight as a team. Florida only gave up 6 touchdown passes all season. 4 were thrown by Dobbs in that game. QED.

Like clockwork, we hit the weak back half of our schedule, and we become CFP contenders for the next season. :fool:

Well he leads in another category too...
Completions over 20 yards and 40 is actually 2. But you probably meant int's. Comes with the territory.

You'd have a point if he had a history of such. But he has been asked to change his game. If the picks were alone without the deep balls and TD's you'd have a point. But you don't, so there's that.

What could you do against those worst teams in the country? You realize that would mean you had to put down the mega cheese ball tub, right? Lmao :eek:lol:

Considering some of you love to state the obvious on Myles Garrett getting most of his sacks against lower level and FCS teams when comparing him to Barnett............. Now lets not give Dobbs credit when he stacks up stats vs lower level and FCS teams........hmm what did Dobbs do vs Bama, A&M, Florida, Georgia...........fair is fair, so I would not put too much stock in Dobbs being the leader

Well against Florida he had 399 total yards and 5 TDs (4 Passing). and Georgia he had 4 more TDs (3 passing) so pretty good. Against A&M he had a career high 398 passing yards as well. We can skip over Bama.
