What has happened to Jalen Hurd, he's not the same player as last year, has his NFL stock has tanked?
What a difference a year makes?

At least he will be back next year...which, I thought was a good thing. OL not helping, but seems he just falls forward at first contact...hence 3 yards per carry average. If we're making folks earn their position, Kelly will start and Dormandy will get a shot. But, we all know that won't happen any more than we will stop the nonsense with this terrible offense run up the middle twice and then Dobbs runs like hell to get away from rush, and throws an ill advised pass.

Probably dinged up.

Playing behind an oline that is probably the worst in the SEC, but I don't blame the players. They just don't have the coach to develop them.

Hurd is an old school tailback, he is a good down hill runner, good at catching the ball out of the backfield, good in pass protection. I think his skill set is NFL quality. I can see him playing 7 or 8 years in the league and having a nice career.

I think he needs to go ahead and declare for the draft after the season. No reason to stay with this scam of a coaching staff.

****ty O-Line. I hate it for him that he has to run behind players who doesn't know how to run block to save their lives.

As someone said if that's really the case then why is Kelly avg almost 7yds per carry? Its as simple as Hurd does not fit the system. If we ran an I formation where he was at speed when he got the ball he would be much better. But he is way to slow to run a system out of shotgun. If Kelly had double the touches tonight we win the game. Hurd had way too many carries and not enough yards!

Hurd has done pretty good despite not being the ideal back for Butch's pet offense

This year it seems like the beatings have taken their toll and injuries have hampered him

Kelly and Kamara are better fits for the scheme, now if we just a line that could block for it -- or better yet adapt the offense to the talent we have and score 40 Points against the 101st defense in the nation like everyone else and we win the game

DeerPark have you heard of any divisiveness in the locker room? This team just doesn't look together and in sync going back to game one. Something is not right- we were discussing in the RF some comments Neuheisel said a while back that Butch is dealing with things a head coach should never have to deal with.

When you watch him run you can see Hurd is injured. He is not punishing tacklers like last year. Down stream we will probably find out he lost a kidney or nut or something.

You might have a point except Kamara and Kelly have run really well behind this line they just don't get many chances with Hurd as the featured back but when they do they do really good. Maybe it's not all the OLs issue.

Looked fine after the Georgia game. We had a crap game and got outclassed. No divisiveness just a beat up team whose played the first or second hardest schedule in football.
