1 gator player leapfrogs them over UT in the East??

VOL fans have over reached their pre season expectations for the last 2 years at least. Why should this year be any different?

UT may beat Gators this year but the expectations yet again seem more than what a VOL team has demonstrated in many years.

Keep drinkin' the Kool-Aid though....................

You guys are seeing a little more of the real 99gator. He is OK with UT as long as UT "stays in its place".... but gets a little cranky when there's any sign that the Vols might not be UF's doormat anymore.

He didn't say anything untrue or that would indicate he's cranky. But lots of fans here aren't capable of having rationale conversations with opposing fans for some reason.

I find it comical that vol fans keep talking about issues with UF's offense. The offense this year will be much like the offense that you saw last year except, we have 3 RBs that will be toting the rock instead of 1 guy that played the entire game last year. The entire offense will be implemented this year, versus part of the offense being implemented last year to our freshman QB. Our O-Line have all started multiple SEC games, unlike last year when we started 3 true freshman in the win against UT. In all, we started 4 true freshman and 1 redshirt freshman on offense against UT.

Grier - QB
Callaway - WR
Johnson - OT
Ivey - G
Jordan - G

Your defense had trouble stopping us last year, there's no way they stop us this year. Mac will run the ball and grind out the yards to keep Dobbs and Hurd off the field.

27 - 9 Gators win

lol... UF has improved greatly on O. (Even though UT just hired one of the best DCs in the game, who will have more talent than he's ever had) your D will not be improved at all and will have no chance.

Good one, bruh.

I ask this as respectfully as i can.

When did Tennessee become so much better than everyone else?

I have no doubt Tennessee can accomplish (fill in the blank). I understand not only that they may, but they should.

However, i dont get the mentality that no one else belongs in the conversation.

There hasnt been a truly great team in the SEC East since 2009.

You answered your own question.

McElwain is a good coach who IMO, will prove his worth with the roster he has to work with this year and considering the back half of the schedule for Florida. They have only 1 test for the first 5 games and that's @ Tennessee. They may have only 1 loss or go undefeated in that span...who knows. After that, JM has difficult games with LSU, UGA, @ Arkansas and @ FSU.

1st in the east or 3rd. Have to wait and see.

So UF's OC and Head coach both won National Championships as coordinators but your former Vandy / Penn State DC is better? He's going to make them that much better? What exactly did he do at Penn State the last couple of years?

But you aren't.

3 unproven rbs with a really shaky OL. I'm not sure the entire Offense will be implemented with a new QB. Our D played great until the last quarter. They were fatigued because our O did nothing. If both teams play like they should the game will not be close.

Ah yes. The "our defense had trouble stopping Florida" comment. Lets forget the fact its not factual and you had managed 14 points at home before Tennessee went to the wonderful prevent defense...but carry on.

The second point and the even better one that I currently love from Florida fans is telling us how great and improved their offense will be.....with a 2 time transfer with 18 career passes. So lets see, after Grier got suspended, Treon showed Mclwein is not a qb guru but somehow LDR is the second coming of Danny W.

Its been a rough day at work. Needed a good laugh. Thank you

The nation's #2 and #14 defense. Not bad at Penn St.

I heard it yesterday on Finebaum and again from two different directions from gator folks I know this morning. It seems Callaway has been reinstated to the gator football program. He must be Percy Harvin reincarnate as "this changes everything" per the gators. He's sooo talented and above his peers in college football that Florida now should be considered the favorite for the SEC East title.

Really?!?!? I'm scratching my head but granted I don't know Florida's offensive roster very well. And VN posters say/think what?

Hard to pass to Callaway if your QB is on his back.

"One of"...

We were talking about changes between seasons.

Let's just put it this way. I will literally match you $250 on the game with you offering UT 18 points like your post prediction.

You good with that? We can find some way to have a 3rd party hold the money and distribute to the winner of the bet after the game. You that confident in your prediction? Because I'm that confident that you're whistling past the graveyard.

I guess after winning 11 in a row, I'd be a little over confident as well, no matter how the roster/schedule looked. However, the last 2 matchups Tennessee should have won but unfortunately, did not seal the deal.

At this time on paper, too many advantages are in the VOLS favor. Home game, depth, matchups, etc.

My .02 cents....the game is close until Tabor get's burned by one of the WR or is decleated by Hurd in a one on one matchup. Followed up with several TO's by the Gator offense.

11 years of Demons are exorcised on Sept. 24th.

Tennessee 52 Florida 24

Just because they were former disciples of Saban doesn't make them excellent coaches on their own.

For example...Derek Dooley and Will Muschamp.

You can't throw when you are running for your life. I believe the speed we have at the line and the 2nd Level was built to deal with QBs that like to run, will they get some yardage? probably, but score points.......not very much.

Go Vols!
