Reggie Miller commentating, I like it.

Rose starts the game by chucking a 3.

28-24 Bulls after 1.

Rose 1-7 shooting.

I thought coming in Chicago's only real advantage over the Sixers line up is Thibs and Rose. Rose playing poorly gives the Sixers a chance.

Bulls on a 9-0 run after benching Rose for Watson. Hmm....

Yeah, that's hurtin. Round 1 could be closer than they like if Rose is out. They should still advance but Round 2 is where it really begins to hurt if he's out for the series or severely limping around.

I think he's done. Looked like an ACL/MCL injury.

That would suck. I won't speculate because I didn't see it. The Bulls had it wrapped up so I flipped over to the Knicks/Heat. Maybe you'll luck out and it will only be a sprain. But if it looked bad enough to believe it's ACL/MCL it's probably a severe sprain at the very least. Maybe they could shoot him up and he'd be alright? Sprains can be pretty bad though. Barbosa on the Pacers hasn't played the last game or two because of a sprain and he might not play today. And I think that's a minor sprain in his case. Could look worse than it is.

I don't think it's a sprain. He physically could stand on his knee. With a sprain I think it would have allowed him to put a little weight on it, at least.

You'll have to see the replay. His knee buckled in when he did a "pro-hop."

Yeah... that doesn't look good. I've seen guys do similar stuff and they come back later in the game. I don't know if that will be the case watching that. If it were a player on my team, I'd think he's done. I saw David West go down recently and after he came off an ACL injury, I thought he was done. He ended up being fine. I'd definitely be worried if I were a Bulls fan though. Not that it needed to be said, I'm with Reggie... why even be in the game? And he was trying to score. The game was over, that's the worst part about the injury. He didn't even need to be in.

I don't really have a problem with him being in the game. He's missed so many games recently and he needed to get back in rhythm.

No problem huffhines says the Bulls are still very much one of the best teams in the NBA without Rose so they shouldn't miss a beat in the playoffs.

Yes and no imo.

I think Watson picks his shots better and jacks up fewer bad shots but Rose forces 2-3 defenders to focus on him. He can kick it out for open shots because he has 3 guys on him. He also has the speed and ability to finish without kicking out. He's more wreckless be he's in the upper echelon of special breed. Big, strong, fast with the ability to do everything. Also, Watson backing up a few games or sharing duty is different. Watson is good but Rose is better. Sharing playing time with John Lucas in the playoffs definitely takes away the Bulls advantage.

I love CJ, but he is not a starting PG unless the pieces around him are very good. Boozer has a history of being soft/awful in the playoffs, Korver is a spot up shooter, Rip is old. It's one thing to do it in the regular season, it's a whole new ball game in the playoffs.

Agreed.

Watson has the right team to succeed but doing it by himself during the regular season isn't the same as the playoffs. A combo of Rose/Watson is a million times better than Watson/Lucas. The Sixers series could be really close. I think the Bulls will pull it out. Second round... I don't even know.

Definitely. They won 66% of their games without him. Any team that can win 66% of their games is a dangerous playoff team.

False.

That is the perception because people remember the times he did poorly in the playoffs. He's averaged 18 and 12 for his playoff career (17 and 10 in regular season).

Boozer has been so good shooting the last few Bulls games I've watched. It's like the guy can't miss.
