Was this supposed to be some kind of sik burn?

I’m sure it sounded funnier in your head, maybe you wanted some upvotes. Anyway, here’s your attention.

I can’t wait for football season to be over.

It stills sounds funny.....No Sik burn....don't need upvotes not running for office. We all feel your pain Since 2007. I am sure this is an annual statement for you, you could hang around and see what the season brings at year end...

Don't ever wish a college football season away......

On the road, in the SEC? Taking a knee wasnt a bad call. So what happens if instead of taking a knee, JG throws a pick 6? Ir they caused a fumble and scored? Its easy to sit back with hindsight when you are not the coach.

Question, do you think Pruitt knew his defense would just utterly collapse? Or, do you think he expected them to execute his gameplan like they had been?

If he didn't expect SC to start throwing the ball 2nd half then he wasn't thinking. And our pass coverage has been so bad this year I think he was aware. It looked to me like our LB were looking pass when SC started to throw and that may explain a lot.

Auburn beatdown? We won by 6. I didn't know a 6 point loss was a "beatdown", that's why some of you must be overreacting so badly to our 3 point road loss to a basically evenly matched team. Beatdowns ain't what they used to be.

Given where we’ve been, a one point win is a beatdown

We are more talented than USC and the rest of the teams left on our schedule.

Pruitt is new to being a HC too so we got to let him learn on the job now (this is why so many wanted an established HC).

But in the end this season is basically a punt for fans. It’s ok. We seem to have a good group of players and coaches that want to learn, grow, and be honest about their progress or lack of.

We can get a much more clear assessment of Pruitt in 2019 and early in 2020.

Auburn definitely in everyone's distant view in rear mirror, but shouldn't be. I expected us to lose, as did most of the betting public. As with all of our games this year, except Bama, there's not been a total train-wreck game. Offense definitely showed improvement with strategy and OL blocking. The Defense regressed, and I think Pruitt got out-schemed last night on D...we didn't have an answer for the 3 TE power running sets SC threw at us, then we bit the bait and they burned us long. Good news is they played well enough to win...bad news is critical errors and poor tackling cost us the W. Letting them off the hook is probably what upsets most. I see improvement, but not sure if I see enough for two more SEC wins...but certainly possible if they keep improving. Pruitt's got us on the right path, but everyone just ready to consistently start whipping up on some folks

NJ, I agree with most of what you, the OP, Beecher, and plenty of others are saying in this thread. Just one nit to pick: the Florida game should be mentioned alongside the Bama game as train wrecks. Six (6) turnovers and a safety will do that.

Those are the two really bad apples in this year's crop thus far. All the others, our lads did pretty close to all they could for the majority of each game. But not in those two.
