Azzizi Fudd is her best friend and is sure to follow! Geno going to reel some great ones in over next 2 years! Dang I thought UCONN was about done! SMH!

She is named after Jennifer Azzi and her parents really focus on academics as well as athletics. I think UConn will be in her top but don’t count out Stanford

I always thought she was going to UConn with VanLith (I think that’s how you spell it). I wouldn’t be surprised if ND wasn’t in play as well.

Baylor is putting the full court press on Van Lith. She took an unofficial to Waco back in November and the entire staff was there two weeks ago.

Stinks to see this....the rich keep getting richer. Bueckers is very very good. Reminds me a lot of Taurasi in her style of play. Geno is a great coach but he's flat out had way more top tier talent to work with than anyone else the past decade. His current team is his weakest team in years and it has 3 #1 recruits on the team. For measure the rest of WCBB has 1.

They've surpassed being the Bama of college football. Geno is a great coach and paired with the top players, they are almost impossible to beat. It's the problem with college sports now. The top programs just keep reeling in the big fish. I don't blame them because they produce.

Holly isn't the coach anymore. The new coach would have to fill some mighty big shoes to continue the negative trends that Holly has set.

I'm assuming the new coach won't squander 6 HS AA talents. Holly may have been one of a kind in that regard, so I think they can start strategizing for UConn next season. The right coach could actually see them come out with a win.

The problem is Holly stupidly decided to restart the series with UConn next year. So we do have to worry about them now. Geno will do everything in his power to embarrass UT.

The number one player in this years class going Stanford didn't look like the number one player at the McDonalds game. The number one player looked like Horston and it wasn't even close. Ratings have gotten a little crappy in the past few seasons. Some of the number one players Russell and a couple that UConn got have not been number one as their career progressed. I am sure Geno knows who is an excellent player and who isn't because he was after Horston from day one until Tennessee got her. Now keeping her is the problem for us. The players I don't want him to get are the big strong post players because he knows how to use them with the type of perimeter player this girl is to destroy defenses. The reason this years UConn team doesn't look superior to everyone is the lack of that big post player. We need to keep them away from him so everyone in WCCB can compete.

Geno can coach.....That is the number one reason players want to go there, to improve and win...

At the moment, we have no coach..Hopefully, whomever we hire as coach, can develop a team to compete with UCONN again.

Time will tell....

Bueckers big program suitors are UConn, Baylor, UCLA, Oregon St, Oregon, Louisville. ND has not shown interest, they are after Caitlin Clark, #4 rated player and 3rd ranked PG after Bueckers and Van Lith. ND was also heavily recruiting Bueckers. The 2020 class is very PG loaded with 6 of the top 10 ranked players at that position. The same schools are recruiting most of them heavily. So, with Bueckers being the 1st to commit the others may shift their thinking. Top level PG's aren't likely to go to the same school in the same class. They don't want to be sharing time or going into a battle and the 1 not chosen as the prime PG transferring. While Bueckers can play PG or SG, Van Lith is a pure PG. I think it's prety slim chance she goes to UConn with Bueckers. They are friends playing on the USA 3 vs 3 team with Brunelle(ND commit) and Boston(South Carolina commit). The talk on some boards long ago was that some of the group may follow each other to schools, thus far 3 of the 4 have chosen different schools.

One thing that all of UConn's top recruits have in common. They all say they want to be coached by Auriemma because he will push them to be the best they can be. I think that was also one of Coach Summitt's greatest strengths and apparently Holly Warlick's biggest weakness. Her players just never seemed to improve.

1)All Star games are literally meaningless. The teams run no organized offense.
2)Geno was not after Horston since day 1. UConn starting recruiting her late,essentially last Dec 2017/Jan 2018. Kids Geno is after day 1 he goes early and hard..Bueckers, Fudd, Deberry are latest.
--Bueckers had 2 unofficials as a sophmore, again as jr, and Geno went to see her himself according to her local MN newspaper 7 to 8 times. Bueckers was offered fall of her sophomore year and Geno said she was ahead of Taurasi in her development at 16.
--Azzi Fudd(#1 ranked 2021) had unofficials as freshmen and was offered as a frosh. Geno doesn't offer freshmen unless they are incredibly special. People that get offered that early by UConn are Stewart, Moore, Taurasi in the past.
--Amari Deberry(#2 ranked 2021) another kid on unofficials as frosh, offered as a sophomore. Kid adores UConn, said in local interview she cried when she got her 1st UConn letter. She idioized Stewie, also from western NY. Will be absolutely shocked if Deberry is not at UConn. Fudd also vey high probability
