09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

I agree those guys are must takes. I actually think everyone left on our board is a take and the staff wouldn't turn away any of them if they committed except for Mackey that's only because he has 2 to play 2.

So who are they going to ask to walk?

I mean, you'll get absolutely flamed for ANY response, but there simply isn't room for everyone, obviously.

DY and Carson gotta go imo...with Thomas gone if Moore commits.

a buddy of mine texted me and said he read on a recruiting site that moore will not announce til next week. i have not heard anymore from the coaches at this point. but if he has in fact delayed his announcement, thats generally bad news for the school the player wants to attend. see this happen all the time when parents are pushing a kid one way or the other.
of course i could very well be wrong about all that and he just decided to delay it on his own:popcorn:

Sad to say but the recruit usually has to go the way of the parents choice, simply cuz they have to sign the L.O.I. as the legal guardian for "said" recruit to be able to attend "said" school.

I was curious so I inquired about the L.O.I. and you have to be 21yrs old to sign your own name and we know there is not a recruit out there that is 21yrs old. Legal guardian has to sign for any recruit out of high school.

I'll see if I can find the link for it and post it here.

Interesting. Moore is probably around 20.

Either way, I seriously doubt is father would refuse to sign his UT LOI.

Not going to happen

Sure it would...seen a few people say this and it makes no sense at all. If top flight prospect want to come here, the guys who have no real D-1 scholarship offers will be tols to take a hike, as they should. Just business, everyone does it and I would fully expect Dooley and company to do so as well. Would be very disappointed if they didn't.

Yeh I forgot about kids having to play 2 years in JUCO for grades, there prolly is someone out there that started school late or something that is 21 and can sign their own name.

Got me wondering after Stehpon Tuitt* committed to GT but his mom made him switch back to ND cuz that is where she wanted him to go. She wouldn't ok the L.O.I. for him to go to GT. Sad but what can he do.

the reason he is delaying his announcement is b/c he came down with strep throat and was in the hospital... his college coach said he doesnt kno who he is gonna sign with.

Yeh I'm not saying he is being pushed to one school or another I just got off topic a lil bit. I believe that Moore has no idea who he is gonna sign with now and is trying to sort it out.

All I can say confidently is that if we have to turn away any of the guys still on our board, then the coaching staff took too many lesser talented players early on. All the guys we have left on our board are studs with better talent than quite a few of our commits.
