09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

I am floored right now. This is definitely one I would NOT get excited over until the papers are signed.

Dooley is the man for sure but if this one happens you need to be singing the praises of Wilcox because hes been the point man and on Moore from the start.

im not part of the coaching staff. the last staff put in the work for recruits but went about it in questionable way. fulmers staff went about recruiting in the right way but got very lazy. the current staff is the best of both worlds.

I would totally agree with this.

Ok, here's a question. In your opinion is CDD as good a recruiter as Saban?

skeeter, please explain numbers.

Lol. This. I was thinking if we didn't get Moore, we had a possibility of signing 6 (Maggitt, Dawson, Wright, Lane, AR, and Clear). With Moore rumors dissipating everywhere, if you take Wright out of the equation, that still leaves 6. That would be 28 I think, given they all sign with UT. If you add Jernigan, well, geeze. Plus the S&P of Dunaway...crazy...

I think after everything came out that he was a Cane yesterday, BMoore had to let it slip that he was a Vol today to keep it exciting for tomorrow. I still think he's a Cane, have for weeks.

Hm... Interesting thought.

TBH, that would be a pretty big slap in the face to the coaches if it is indeed true since he gave his word to Wilcox. At least that is what skeeter had reported. He hasn't been wrong yet, so...

I hope you guys are right. If they pull him too (I think Moore will be a STUD immediately), then I'm growing Moore (pun intendeed) impressed with this staff by the day. I'm just waiting before I get too excited about this one. Always had a gut that he's a Cane.

Dad's a big Miami fan and wants his son to play for Miami. There's nothing wrong with that. I hope he ends up being a Vol, but I don't fault his Dad for one second.

If it is true, and he comes in and plays immediately, imagine the experience all our young guys will have in 2-3 years. Keep em comin CDD!!

Disagree. IF reports of him being unhappy about this are true then he needs to grow up. I am a huge UT fan and would have done anything to play football for the Vols. I would also want my kid to play football at UT if I had a son that was D1 football material. However, it would be 100% my kids choice. I would never try to influence my kid's decision. This is a huge decision for him and it should be what he wants, not what his dad wants. There is a huge difference in wanting your son to play for your team and acting like a complete child if your son picks another team.

Agreed. However, if Gabe Wright wants to go to Auburn and his mother wants him to go to UT...

Agreed. But I haven't heard anything about him acting like a child. Someone speculated that the coaches THOUGHT dad MIGHT be unhappy. I follow hid dad on Twitter and I've only seen positive tweets. Maybe he's a jerk, but I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt.
