09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Tradition at Miami maybe but they don't even have their own football stadium anymore just a hand me down from the Dolphins! Neyland Stadium and playing in the SEC should close this deal!

"I still have a good idea where I want to go. I'll announce it next week."

Until Moore first said the part I put in bold, I really had no feel about where he might be leaning. He first made that statement or essentially the same thing, a day or two ago, and that is what convinced me that going into his visit this weekend, we are solidly in the lead for him. He made this comment (basically that he has already made up his mind) before even meeting Golden for the first time and well before his visit to Miami.

Going into his visit, I think Moore is a Vol. You never know what might happen on the visit, especially with a new coach, but I feel pretty good about Moore at the moment.

Sorry Miami fans, I just think it would be crazy not to choose UT. I'd rather play for our staff of proven coaches (I expect SGM to come in and degrade CDD), we have everything he wants, early PT, facilities, etc. He already has a friend here in Malik Jackson. We just don't have a beach and warm weather year round (if that's the reason why one would choose a school for an athletic scholarship, well, best of luck to him).

It's not by the ocean, but actually there is a beach by the river not far from campus off of Kingston Pike

Had in-home with the Golden Ace last nite.....UM guys are feeling good about this one today. they used the word lock on talk radio!

I've heard that work LOCK 4 or 5 times before.... Whenever anyone uses that, they are NEVER wrong.

If the kid really knew more about the programs, he'd realize "Da U" died when Miami joined the ACC. Regardless of your team, there's no denying that playing in the SEC is the true measuring stick.

The worrisome thing to me is the hiring of two ex USC coaches who were at Southern Cal when Moore was there;and,Moore purpotedly likes them a lot.The Scout West Coast analyst says that Moore is Miami bound.

nooooooooooooooo :cray:

I'm still new to the site, but I must say that I'm impressed that you can keep a level-head despite the things people say about Miami on here.

On Byron's quote regarding the fact that he's already sort of made up his mind, I'm taking that as he's got Miami on his mind and that he needs the visit this weekend to confirm the decision he wants to make next week, JMO.

I think miamicane is good people. It adds to the forum, having insight from fans of other schools.

As for Moore, I'm leaning the same way you are.

One thing I don't get. Why didn't Byron go juco instead of just doing the same thing that Malik did?

Miamicane, you're alright by me. You come on volnation rep. another major FB program, gain the respect of many and put up with some badmouthing and keep your cool. You add good input here and I appreciate you(no homo). I dont know if I could keep my cool while defending my team, like you do. Keep on keeping on bro!

A strong Miami normally means a weakened Florida. I'm all for Miami being strong. You do not dictate our path to the NC game and if we meet there it's either you or someone else. A strong Miami and FSU hurts Florida way more than it hurts us.
