09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Dooley and Wilcox were in to see Byron Moore last night. Moore just texted with me and said, "It went well. I missed coach Dooley, lol. He's so funny and makes everyone around him comfortable and really cares about his players."

He's still on tap to take visits to Miami and Oregon State.

Good news! I would love to be a fly on the wall during a Dooley in home visit. The guy is a trip!

Dooley could sell a ketcup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.

He is the best salesmen since Big Tom Callahan.

I really think we land this guy.

I called the Marcus Jackson commit and I'm calling this one too. I really believe Moore will be a Vol.

I really believe that Dooley is going to win a lot of recruiting battles with his in home visits. I really like how he recruits the whole family instead of just the recruit.

I am going against the grain and saying hes going to Miami. Too many Miami people around him it seems.

But could he sell a butcher's ass by sticking your head up there?

No, what I mean is, you can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass... No, wait. It's gotta be your bull.

nvm

I'm really starting to think Moore will be a Vol too. It just seems he's really feeling this staff and team. Not to mention we're in the SEC where he really wants to play and Malik Jackson in his ear. I think our biggest competition is Or St simply because they're out west and they have a pretty good relationship with him but I just really think he's feeling us right now.

i really can't argue with your logic.
you're probably 100% correct.

One stop Dooley made this week was to see Los Angeles, Calif., safety Byron Moore. Wilcox tagged along for the trip and it seemed the visit went really well. It looks like Tennessee's main competition will be Miami over Oregon State. Moore really likes the coaching staff at Tennessee, but the Vols will have to compete against the atmosphere of South Beach and Miami to win him. along with the tradition of Miami. Moore has really taken a liking to the idea of 'The U' for Miami and the program's history of sending guys to the NFL.

Why don't we sell EB like Clemson sells CJ to RBs? Sorry for the abbreviations, wow.

On a serious note, I like our chances.

It's still a recruiting tactic that works. Just saying. I know this staff has much more integrity to play games with recruits. At least it seems that way.

Then I would use Foster, Manning, Green Bay OL, Witten, Meachem, and Mayo too. Wow I sound like a smartace. Not trying to tho.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I dont feel like going back through all these pages, but Moore finally got his much deserved bump by Rivals. Now the #5 overall JUCO and a 4* 5.9.

I do think Tennessee is going to land this guy if it's really between Tennessee and Miami. Obviously some close to him seem to be pushing him towards Miami, but come on this guy went to USC for the very reasons he seems interested in Miami. You would think he'd have learned his lesson...

The Canes can counter with Ed Reed. Tennessee is a great place and Moore would be great here. I think we make more sense for him as far as playing time and team around him.

I'm completely aware of all of the examples that can be used. However, HS recruits have a pretty short memory. When Witten was at UT or Reed at Miami, this kids were learning how to read.
