Along with Jackson, Moore has heard from defensive backs coach Terry Joseph and head coach Derek Dooley. The two tried to let Moore know he is wanted in Knoxville.

"Pretty much, they need a corner like me and (I can) help them out in the secondary and they like the way I can play corner and safety with my versatility, and that they're trying to turn it back around and get back to the national championship race," Moore said about what he has heard from the coaches. "They said the opportunity to play early, the chance to, would be high coming in."

When Moore arrives in Knoxville for his visit, he's going to be looking at his relationships with players and coaches.

"Just pretty much meeting the players and seeing how the team is and meeting the coaching staff and meet them face-to-face and see what the atmosphere is around the school and stuff like that. That's pretty much it," Moore offered.

Moore knows Malik Jackson from USC & Jackson has really been talking to Moore about coming to Tennessee. Moore can play Saftey & Corner, he played Corner this year in JUCO & had 7 Int's. He will be taking visits to Washington, Oregon State, Arizona, & Ohio State before deciding. He was 3 years to play 3 & will enroll in the summer.

JMoore.. Do you know if his visit is scheduled for Dec. 3?

You would think it would be good if Lanier and Moore visit together, along with Malik hosting..

I wondered what you knew about the guy because all I have really heard is that he is not really all that interested in playing out here in the east.. West Coast boy all the way?

Yes, he will be here Dec 3rd. Which is when Lanier is suppose to be here also. & all the EE's that we have commited will be here that weekend.

I'm kinda going back & forth on if it's a good thing to have Lanier & Moore here a the same time. Both are JUCO kids & both are going to want early PT. If one commits will it hender us in getting the other? I hope not because it would be HUGE if we could land both of them because both have 3 years to play.

He is a West Coast kid & he will probably end up with a West Coast school, I think have Malik in his ear really helped out with us getting a visit from him.

Some film for people to watch. Looks real good, at 6'2 205 & being able to play CB & S this would be a huge pull for the staff.

YouTube - Byron Moore Jr 2010 Mid Season

Awesome vid. I like how almost all of his INTs were returned pretty far- shows he's a good athlete and playmaker with ball in his hands. Pretty good open field tackler which we definitely need here at UT

VERY impressive video...

I wonder if Rivals has seen this...if Coleman's video blew them away enough to bump him then this film should do the same for Moore...

If we landed him and Lanier that would be amazing...especially if Loften never qualifies

We shouldn't care what the rankings are in this case. Moore was a 4 star recruit when he went to USC. The talent is definitely there with Moore.

Byron would have been a starter this year for them.

I have no problem with it at all if UT wants to take this cat.

Yes we do, getting him on campus is huge. Especially with us having Malik & the need for DB's. I still think he stays on the West Coast though.

FWIW he told 247 mod that he's almost certain he'll stay on the left coast but will take at least two of his OV to east coast schools to see what options are available. UF was really on him then coaches backed off after talk with him and JC coach...he set up an OV for Dec but was axed then Meyer offered Holliman and Groman late. The 247 guys believe it's a Ducks and UCLA battle.

Has alot of family & a kid out West.

True, but his family not being comfortable with Kiffin is a big reason why he didn't end up going to USC, right? I think we have a good shot at him from the Volquest article. Seems we have everything he wants and needs to offer. Plus Dooley is great with the parents.

He would be an awesome pull. Would be a big part in our secondary the moment he steps foot on campus and will start next year. Lanier would be a great get as well. I think we have a better shot at Lanier and really think we might be able to pull him. Having Malik in his ear is huge. All he has to tell him is that he'll play right away and have an impact much like Malik is having here in the SEC and the exposure will be unmatched. He would be a huge get.

He's going to be a tough pull, but I really think we can pull Lanier and he would be a huge get for our secondary instantly.

Moore has picked up offers from Miami & Arizona State, his offer list is starting to blow up. He has visits scheduled to Tennessee on Dec. 3, Arizona Dec 10., Oregon State Jan 14., & Washington Jan. 21.
