Strongside defensive end
Harvest (AL) Sparkman

Ht: 6-foot-4
Wt: 246 lbs
Forty: 4.78 secs
Bench max: 290 pounds

new article says that he like Tennessee, SoCar, and Clemson. Last season Orr had 60 tackles and seven sacks. He also says that when he trims his list of schools down that the Vols will def make the cut.

Clemson may be tough to beat.

he could have been a 1 star for all i know. anyway, we could use a little depth at DE in a couple years, so maybe a guy we should look at. I don't know how many big-time DE we are looking at.

Actually if you look at Orr on the list of SDE's, he's ranked 24th. The cut-off for 5.7 ranked SDE's is 25th, starting at the 26th ranked they are 5.6's. So technically he is just barely a 5.7...

By a couple of years, I assume you mean 2010. I think our depth is excellent in 2010:

Martin
Walker
Walls
Sykes
Bohannon
Hall (? DT)
Fowlkes (? WR)
G. Williams (? LB)
R. Williams (? LB)

That seems to be a talented 5 deep not including the position ?'s. Sure, some could leave after junior year and not make it to 2010, but as it stands, our depth is not only going to be deep, it's got quality.

2011, now that's a different story because Martin, Sykes, and Walker will most likely be graduated which means we should be looking for DE's in the 2009 and 2010 recruiting class.

I was mainly talkin a/b 10 and 11. 2010 will be could. But we get this guy, redshirt him. He'd be a three-year sophomore, so i mean 2011. And a lot of those 2010 guys are unproven.

By A Bone. Orr says Saban was the main reason he committed to Alabama, and he likes the direction they are heading. He may still take some visits, but says he knows where he is going.

may take some visits? I think he commited to lock down a spot, but he's still in play.

What if his high school team wore black jerseys?

If he is only a 3 star wearing black jerseys, he would most likely be a 2 or even a 1 in any other color.

Back to topic though, what other DE's are we seriously looking at? Cummings, Merrell twins, Drummond.....
