'07/'08 Celtics VS '95/'96 Bulls

Yeah....I mean, I'm pulling for the Celtics as much as the next guy this season - but come on. Will they do as well? Maybe...probably not. But, even that is irrelevant. We're only a few games into the season ... and full-season records paces don't mean anything at this point. The bigger discussion should be will they dominate the east? will they have a chance against the west....

I love the Celtics, prolly bout the only northern team of any sport that I like, but to compare them to the likeness of the 95 Bulls 7 games into the season is ridiculous.

To give ESPN a little credit, they weren't so much making the comparison that they were as good as the Bulls of the day ... they were providing a tool for tracking the progress - which really only implies that they could be as good. Still, at this point in the season, even making the tracker that implies they could be as good as the Bulls seems too much of a stretch.

Even the 72-10 Bulls lost to the expansion Raptors. Let's see how Boston does on a West Coast trip. Or touring the Texas triangle.

Sadly, their schedule is weak all month. They could go 17-1. God, another powerful Boston team...

I'm sick of the comparisons as well, the Celtics are not anywhere near that level of greatness. Hell, I'd bet money that they couldn't finish better than 4th in the west this year.

And why are there so many Boston fans on this board?

The Bulls would of swept the season series & then swept them in the playoffs.

Yep, no doubt in my mind. The Celtics are bound to run out of steam sooner or later, then again, I said that about a certain other team from Boston too.

on a different note, did anyone notice the scores in the Bulls losses that year, all but one were by 10 or less, and three were 1 point losses.

The league (East at least) seems weaker than it has in the past... Pistons are a real threat, then it's... new orleans/orlando??

Celtics are filthy. I'll give 'em that. I've always liked KG.. but i dunno how they'd match up.
Rondo has played out of his mind... he's goooood. Has been since Oak Hill

New Orleans doesn't play in the Eastern Conference.

IMO, considering the playoffs are what matters, the Pistons are the team to beat in the east until Boston shows some depth from the bench.

Ray Allen & Paul Pierce are very much like Tracy McGrady in that they get injured every year. maybe they stay healthy this year and win it all I dont know, but if I had to bet on it I would say they're gone in the second round.

Celtics don't have playoff mentality in anyone. Do have to admit that I've been surprised by the difference that KG has made in their defense.
