Remember when we went 0-6 in 1987 and going into the Memphis State game.....yes we've seen lower.. I'm as mad as anyone...but we have been worse and with a Tennessee Heisman candidate as a coach.....It will turn around...wonder what folks in Texas are thinking, and they won a national championship more recently than we have....

Interestingly enough, 1987 was probably before most calling for Jones job were out of diapers. Some would say they are still working on that goal.

We started 0-6 in 1988, I believe in 1987 we finished 10-2, if I'm not mistaken.

10-2-1 in 87...I was too hungover from a long night at the Annex, Last Lap and the Tap Room to stumble from Hess to the game to attend the tie vs. Auburn.

1988. Yes I went to the Georgia game in Athens to lose to the Dawgs 33-0. Fans were nice that year. They almost felt sorry for us. Almost. They were still polishing their NC trophy and reminiscing about Herschel and were heading into their own bridesmaid era of mediocrity with Jim Donnan. A decade later after losing Manning the year earlier, we win the NC. Manning probably still has nightmares about his Florida games against Spurrier. This hurts, but it too will pass. We can still have an 8-9 win season if we will stop looking for our pound of flesh from the team.

Burn! Clever as always. But those kids in diapers aren't blowing these games and being out coached. Your savior is.

BJ has been getting his diapers changed on national TV during the 4TH quarter.

Just understand that I come from a generation that might be described as a little tougher than the current. We didn't grow up looking for the escape key when things didn't go our way. Jones will be here for another season, at least, and then you can renew your attack with the next hire. Either way, you're going to have to be patient.

Yeah and it was one of the reasons CPF got the heading coaching job when majors went out two seasons later.

So yeah...Butch shouldn't feel to comfortable.

Lost the first six in 1988 and then only lost one of the next 23 and that was an away game at #10 in the country.

Well, I felt that Coach Johnny came back to work the OK game. Now I believe that TAMU's new DC came back for a cameo appearance when UF was 4th and 14. He just loves the burn.

If felt like Johnny was coaching for the UF game. Only thing missing from that whole offensive scheme was a quick kick
