Can't believe I'd ever see the day.

I remember CPF saying after his last game (a "W" over Kentucky) when asked about his victory and last game... he said, "Well, we're still Tennessee"

Not any more apparently.

Tennessee started 0-5 in 2010, 0-6 in 2011 and 0-7 in 2012 (in SEC play)

They have now started SEC play 0-5 for half the decade

Stop it! STOP IT!

You're making too much sense. This fan base can't handle sense. We like to shout "BUT THIS IS TENNESSEE" and that should be enough.

I read a couple posts yesterday talking about how this is a top 10 job in the country (not even close), maybe a top 10 job that's gonna have an opening but in the grand scheme of things we probably aren't top 20.

People keep saying that this is Tennessee and people should begging to coach here. Let's be real, this program has won 2 national championships in the last 50 years. In that same span we've only won 7 conference championships. Since 92 when the conference split into divisions and we got the championship game Tennessee has only gone to it 5 times.

These are facts and not disputable. Yet we have a fan base that acts like we go to the NC game every other year. Now what head coach knowing the facts and seeing the media/fan base reactions would really coach here?

I don't know if they'll win a SEC game. They may not win another game all year. They're letting Butch own this year. Maybe they're trying to embarrass him into taking a lesser buyout. He's hurting his future employment prospects at this point. Will never coach power 5 again. He wants every bit of that buyout, he knows he's ruined.

Why do you think they come here? They stay passive aggressive with this stuff so they remain welcome but they are mostly here to rub it in IMO.
