Just like that episode of Seinfeld. If every instinct you have is wrong, just do the opposite. :)

Dooley is 0-10 at UT when trailing at the half and 9-0 when leading at the half

He was a head coach before he came to UT. I'm sure the OP is taking those stats in account.

The OP was using the stat that was on TV as the UT/SC game went into half.
Stat said he was 0-20 trailing going into half, plus that game made 0-21.

This probably takes into account his days at La Tech + UT.

It does, assuming that no one ever bothers to look up the results from La Tech.

Just looked through La Tech's 2008 season. They trailed at half against Mississippi State and Fresno State and won both games.

Same deal with New Mexico State in 2007.

I'm not sure if he was actually there in 2006, but they came from behind against Nicholls State and North Texas that year too.

I saw this stat during the game on Saturday. I think it's part of what made me begin to lean towards feeling he really might not be the guy to bring us back to greatness.

I think his 0-21 record started in 2008 after the Nevada game which was towards the end of the 2008 schedule. The only thing it tells me is how good can his second half adjustments be? Going o'fer at UT won't get it done.

Look at the teams we've failed to come back on and get back to me.

that's not what they said but if so that's just a terrible stat to try and throw out

I'm not asking for his head just yet, I still feel he needs more time to get players. I feel it is a stat worth following because it could reveal a problem in his coaching ability on second half adjustments.

We have played one of the hardest stretches in October that I can remember for an unranked out manned Vol team so the loses need to be taken with a grain of salt but, we also need to keep track of things that could prevent this programs rise back to the top.
