⚽️SOCCER THREAD #2 LADY VOLS @ WCU ESPN+ 8/31 6pm

UT charges admission to volleyball matches and not soccer so that tells me the athletic dept. considers fan interest for volleyball to be higher.
Well, volleyball averages about 2 1/2 times the crowd soccer does and plays more home matches. It also costs a lot more money to turn on the lights and staff TBA then it does the soccer stadium. So it’s probably close to being a wash, but you’ve got to make it back somewhere. I think Tennessee has shown that it is serious about winning in both sports, however.

Notable Lady Vols absent from playing time yesterday, likely due to an injury.
Anaiyah Robinson(Not dressed, possible injury)
Mac Midgley(iTeam Captain, injury, not sure for how long)
Kylee Simmons(ACL out for season)
Jayla Blue(projected starter, possible injury)

Step 1

Beat the #1 team in the country.

Step 2

The best of the best want to come play in Knoxville.

Welcome to Rocky Top Savannah Jackson.

I am so excited and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to play D1 soccer and continue my academic career at the University of Tennessee.

I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for their support on and off the field. Thank you to my parents & sister for always being there and for their unwavering love and encouragement. Thank you to Slammers HB Køge, Coach Z & Walid for taking a chance on me, and my trainers Coach Michael and Coach Willie for helping me grow and develop as a player and a person over the years.

A huge thank you to Coaches Joe Kirt, John, Mike, and Marty for your belief in me and for making this process so special.

I can’t wait to be a Lady Vol! 🧡🩵
