KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 3/5 Tennessee soccer team secured its 10th victory and shutout of the season after topping No. 17 Georgia, 2-0.
UT (10-1-1, 4-1-1) extended its home win streak to six while picking up its fourth SEC win. Additionally, the Lady Vols ended UGA's (7-3-3) nine-match road unbeaten streak.
After Thursday night's result, Tennessee now holds a +24 goal-differential and a 0.33 goals-against average.
The Big Orange staved off an early barrage of shots by the Bulldogs to keep the game scoreless through 20 minutes.
Jenna Stayart cracked Georgia's resistance in the 23rd minute striking from the back post from
Leah Klurman'scross. The goal marked Stayart's fourth of the season with Klurman adding her second assist.
Both defenses held firm entering the back half playing 35 clean minutes before Tennessee added to its lead on an
Ally Brown goal off a
Dakota Brown corner kick.
Tennessee ended the match with seven shots and six corner kicks. Georgia concluded the night with 12 shots and two corners.
Cayden Norris got the start in goal for the Big Orange and registered two saves en route to her eighth clean sheet on the year. Norris now has 30 saves in 2025.
