There’s our leader right dehr.

We’re fortunate that he wasn’t lured away to Stanford, Vandy, UNC, Virginia, Northwestern. or an Ivy League program. Aight?

They’re laughing at us right now.
And to think Beldar turned down a UGA scholarship to attend Bammer because he wanted an "academic challenge".

He “graduated” from Alabama. What did we expect, Hemingway?

That's no excuse. Alabama has an excellent Law School; Med school & Dental. You can get an education if you want it. How this guy got through four years without soaking something up is the question. If your goal is to become a Head Coach, Public Speaking should be in your curriculum.

You can make fun of Pruitt, but the real problem is these schools taking these players and putting them thru their programs for the sake of winning and giving them degrees they do not earn. It is a corrupt system that has no standards except winning and making money. Privileged athletes are a farce and ruining the reputation of the schools. Some of them never go to class but have the same degree of people trying to make a better life for themselves.

Sad state of affairs that we have to pile on regional dialect to make ourselves feel better in the wake of other, much greater issues. We knew the "aight?" was going to get old from the very first press conference.

You've got to give the guy credit, though - how many of you got paid seven figures to underperform this year? And got a contract extension for sub-adequate job performance last year? All this external pile-on just reeks of trying to find a way of saying "eat the rich" without actually saying "eat the rich."

Our bread and circuses requirement must be filled. These men present themselves as willing sacrifices for our amusement. Who cares if they bring the education system down around them so long as we like the product on field? If they cease to please us, we'll just throw away their withered husks and move on to the next new addition to the ring.

Might could be sad that you’s gotcha a hankerin’ to lecture us here hillbillies.

Regional dialect is charming when it comes from a smart feller like Spurrier or a genius like Dolly. In this case we’s all lookin’ foolish fur falling fur the hire. Aight?

While I do wish he were a better communicator, I'd much rather he were a better football coach. On the other hand, I've seen so many posts that contain ridiculous spelling and grammatical errors on this site that I'm not sure I'd go down that particular road, thunder. It's an argument you're bound to loose.

And as for these so-called "elite" colleges, they're a cancer that's killing our youth and this country. They destroy young minds and kill their souls. They go in with wide eyes, hopes and dreams. They come out broken and seeing life as not worth living.

Lol. I'm as hillbilly as the lot of you. You should see the look on my class's faces when I code switch in the middle of a lecture. Dunlap drawl makes my Cleveland (OH) kids look at me sideways.

And yep. I fell for the charm early too. Fat lot of good it did us.

Thank you!
I said from the initial onset how embarrassing it is having a guy who can’t talk correctly, up there on the podium representing our university. I was laughed at by some of my closest friends saying “if he can coach, what do I care how he speaks?” Well now he can’t do both and it’s even more embarrassing.

Yes, if college was not a priority and jumping through the hoops to be a player and future coach. Public speaking should have been a foremost and a must for future HC. Football being a major sport especially in the south. You become the face of the University and have a high influence of what people think of that brand.

I think you totally missed it. This was never about how much bank Pruitt was pulling in. It IS about getting your Money's worth; and questioning how well the Interview could possibly have gone; given the limited vocabulary. I said from the start; "Talking like that, he'd Better Win."

DOLLY is so far above Spurrier ("Stuff like at") it's not equitable. Dolly is proof that you Can come from BEYOND the sticks even and become a genius.

I done reached my breaking point. I was pulling for the feller. But his on field record is reaching some all-time futility. On top of all that he became an absolute idiot with COVID-19. He cut a pre-season PSA urging all of us to wear masks. Then he couldn’t figure out how to put his own over either his mouth or nose and wore it as a head covering for an entire game while earning a 6 figure NCAA fine for the program. It’s time to cut bait.
