Some pictures of me not catching anything in Alaska/Washington (we had no idea what we were doing). That big school of coho was right off the cruise ship dock but they weren't interested in eating. Some guy was snagging them for fun though. Couldn't get a nibble, fresh or salt, trout or salmon. I'll have to go back up there another time and have someone who knows what they're doing teach me lol.

Bait for Salmon in the rivers/streams look like salmon eggs. Apparently, they see them on their way to spawn and pick them up to take to the spawning place.

Now, if you really want a challenge and want to get intimately familiar with the Interior of Alaska, try and book you a guide and trip on Chitna for a dip-netting experience. Don't forget to get your "Where the Hell is Chitna" bumper sticker while there.

We dip netted from the bank where you have to tie yourself to a tree. Lol

Pro Tip: Don't fall in cause you will never be seen again.

Easier way to catch salmon is just find a bear and steal his. Theys experts at catching salmon.

We were going to do a charter but i read too many stories online of folks spending $500+ for those things and then don't even end up getting to hold a rod the whole trip. That would have pissed me off way more than trying on our own and not catching anything lol.

While spending a night in Anchorage, right outside our hotel room was a salmon walk. The wife and I stood and watched them for a couple hours. The southern in me told me to get in there and scoop a couple out. The game warden said don't do it. Lol

Going down below you again for just a day next week God willing. Gonna drive down Monday, fish Sebastian inlet all day Tuesday, then drive to the gulf side. Probably fish around crystal river area. I'd fish all week, but my buddy has to be back to Kentucky Thursday night.
