“But I got to stop wishin', got to go fishin' Down to rock bottom again Just a few friends, just a few friends” (pictures)

A few tips:
1) Check the generation schedule
2) Def wear waders (temp is mid 50s in Aug since it’s bottom layer of Lanier)
3) Highly recommend a staff. Rocks are super slippery and there are some deep holes
4) I can recommend an incredible guide who fishes the Hooch in a drift boat if you’re interested.
5) Hooch is an incredible fishery. The Browns reproduce and there are some big fish in the Hooch
I cross the dam every week taking my wife to the dr in Cumming. I keep telling her we're gonna stop one day😆

So…..
I can cast the **** out of a baitcaster.
I could fish Knoxville from Chattanooga.
On the downside I had three fish on for more than 5 seconds. 1 for 30 seconds and he was a hoss. All got away.

When all else fails put on a rooster tail and catch a small fish so you can say you caught something. View attachment 764068

More commonly smallmouth. Read the recent changing of the philosophy of size limit on Chick, Nickajack, and GVille. More than half of what we thought were smallmouth are now hybrids.
Given any chance, those horny male spots will spread their milt on any cluster of eggs.

Spent a couple of weeks in Wyoming chasing cutthroats with a couple of good friends. We've been doing this trip together for 26 years and I hope to be able to do it for another 20 years.

I'll post a few photos.
