Apparently, near 100 degrees isn't good for catfishing in south Carolina

Wasn't good for surf fishing either. I lasted about 3 and a half hours in it yesterday (with winds of only 3 mph all day); I was roasting.

Not like I was slaying them. 5 or 6 small whiting, same number of spots and a baby blacktip shark was all I caught.

4000. From reviews I read, that one is good enough to fight big fish, but able to use for trout and such also.

FWIW a buddy of mine who's retired and wins tournaments only uses Hercules braid and buys it on Ebay

Edit: he also uses a Garmin livescope, which I had never seen...wow...about a $3k investment but wholly fish and chit..he messages me regularly tryna talk me into retiring
