Exactly what I think. Seems he went the opposite of Fulmer as far as, get the hot (not in appearance; I'm not letting myself walk into that one) young gun who can recruit and have an exciting offense before we get too outdated...
Don't forget Layla came with the deal when you talk about hot.

If we had never fired Fulmer, they all would be playing for Tennesseee right now.

FIRING FULMER WAS THE WORST DECISION A PROGRAM HAS EVER MADE.
I agree with this. I actually ran into John Chavis a few years ago on the golf course, he basically said the same thing - Hamilton fired a Hall of Fame level coach and hired some bozos. Regardless of whether you believe Fulmer should have been fired, his firing by Hamilton with no plan and the resulting set of bad hires sent us into oblivion.
