‘Stress cards’ in basic training

Didnt have them in the Air Force back in 98...but we had coke machines, cigarette breaks, weekend trips to Six Flags San Antonia or Ciudad Del Rio if you were old enough.

There were no cigarette breaks in 98.

We were lucky to get to make a phone call on Sunday, no smoking period, couldn’t drink soda, no junk food....this was in the army about the same time.

Went through AF basic in 2010 and this was not a thing, although this rumor appears to date back at least that far.

The only thing about basic that bothered me was getting up at 4:30. Drill sergeants weren't even in the same league with some coaches I had playing HS football. Basic was hardly a challenge. There were a lot of guys I felt sorry for though.

I didn't realize they had football around during the War of 1812.
