Our defense really needs to do better than this...I know without the conversions they wouldn't have scored much, but we still had the chance to keep them out of the EZ on all of those drives and hold them to FGs, but they punched it in down below the 10 four freaking times...that is not good stout defense.

While I somewhat agree, they had to go on 4th several times. Their FG kicker apparently isn’t great, Brown is known for going, and they got behind. Sure, it can be better, but 4 downs helps you convert, too. Boo should have stopped one.

My thoughts (not that they matter):

OL, RBs and TEs looked good. Great blocking and moving the pile.WRs looked mid and had some dumb drops. Hoping it’s first game jitters and working out the kinks. Joey played well and did what he was asked.

DL looked small and got pushed around. Herring and Joseph did not work. Ross was really good, don’t know why we forced herring. Interior needs beef. Hope Moi is ok. And Hobbs gets back soon.

LB looked good. DB good. Some busts but they played well. I was shocked how small we looked at interior DL.

It’s my understanding the staff decided they didn’t need to risk it with David Sanders today. Announcers misrepresented it as David "woke up not feeling well". Not the case, and he should be ready to go by week 3 if not 2. David wanted to play and was upset by the news.

Hobbs, Moi, Robinson, West, Bailey. and Wallace are 290+. Moi, Robinson, and Wallace are 300+. Hobbs is out, and Moi didn’t come back. Even Campbell and House are 290+. Just need to get healthy.
