Life has just been moving at warp speed here lately and my 2 year old and 4 year old have kept me BUSY. Still was able to check in from time to time but it’s football time in Tennessee so I’m back! Feels good to be back in a game day thread especially

Only the 4th time Tennessee has scored 30 points in the first half under Heupel. The others were against Kent state last year, UTSA in 2023, and UT Martin in 2022. Before that it hadn't happened since 2016. Today it happened against an ACC team that won 10 games last year

The defense does not suck ( and I know you're being sarcastic) but they have shown some weaknesses that I hope get ironed out.

They gave up a couple of nice drives there, where Cuse made some plays...it happens, sometimes the opponent wins. Still want to see replay of TE "catch" that kept that one drive going. Only defensive play I've been disgusted with, so far, was the 4th down.

Overall, defense has looked very good. Angeli will feel this game for a month, and he still has another half to go. Cuse has 36 yds rushing...a little over a yard per carry.

Yes, some things need cleaning, I agree...some things always need cleaning, though. I also believe a couple of these PI calls have been bullsh!t. Overall, been a nice called game by officials; but, a couple of PI calls have been terrible, especially the one where WR tripped over DB feet...keeping a drive alive.
