“It’s such a Peyton Manning-type throw”...Tom Brady on Super Bowl throw

good grief. Brady played for Belichick. Brady has ice in his veins. Brady wasnt as good a quarterback, or as complete a player as Peyton. Peyton wasn't clutch like Brady. Brady couldnt beat Peyton, Peyton always seemed to have his #, at least later on. Brady is the greatest Super Bowl qb of all time. Peyton is the de facto greatest qb of all time.

Absolutely! He threw lasers! Man I loved watching him play, Clayton, Duper... that was fun!
Not to mention his motion and release. The ball left his hands in a blink of an eye. He may have never won a Superbowl but if I was building the ultimate NFL squad he is my starting QB.

Dan Fouts was fun to watch. I vaguely remember. But he had Winslow, Joiner, and Muncie. Shame they never one anything.

Joe Montana is the best Super Bowl QB of all time imo

The truth is Elway, Brady, Manning, Marino, Montana, Bradshaw, Unitas, and Favre all have a case for greatest of all time imo

Any list that would even consider Bradshaw with the other guys there is using the wrong criteria. The guy had a career 212-210 TD/INT ratio. 78-63 in his Super Bowl years. He could throw the ball a mile and half but hit more linemen than receivers with his short throws. He's actually the case for Super Bowl titles NOT being the primary measure of a quarterback.

Loved those teams. The defense was so bad, the offense had to slow down go-ahead drives late in the game so that the other team didn't have enough time to score. Sometimes Fouts would score with 40 seconds left to take the lead and still lose.

I don't care what your natural talent was or how many stats you put up - if you never won a SB, and only made it to a single one in your rookie year, it is extremely difficult to even make a case for them being the greatest of all time.

I know football is a team sport and winning a SB is a team accomplishment, but it is unique in that a single position, QB, has more responsibilities that any other position and is very integral to the success of the team.

Sorry but your wrong. Look at barry sanders. One of best backs who ever played and rarely made playoffs. It is a team sport

Barry Sanders was a RB, not a QB. QB has an inordinate amount of impact on the entire team. Way more than RB or any other position.

No its clearly not Brady. Its clearly not anyone. Especially in a sport where there are 10 other members of your side of the ball. Different eras and different rules. No way to compare. Brady is the best of his era. But thats it.

If you have to pick a QB to win a game that you have to win, who would you take besides Montana or Brady?

I know it is unpopular to discuss on here, but Peyton's record in "big games" is less than stellar. He didn't go o-fer, but it certainly isn't a good as Brady, Montana, or other guys.

You are talking about Brady and Manning in "big games?" Manning was 3-1 vs Brady in AFC Championship games and ended his career on a 3 game winning streak in those head to head Championship match ups.
