“Fans” attacking recruits on social media

You are entitled to your opinion of Butch but those of you attacking him in the social media feeds of our recruits is beyond pathetic. What do you really hope to accomplish? Just how exactly will running off recruits benefit the program regardless of who the head coach is?

You call yourself TN fans? You don’t deserve the privilege of being a Vol fan

Seriously if some random social media post from a troll named JackMehoff69 or NoChildSupportBrenda is the reason you don't commit to a certain school then you probably weren't seriously considering it to begin with. Every fan base has it's mouth breathers.

We have sjw type of fans. They think they know what's best and are nonstop in pushing their agenda even if it hurts our team, recruits and chemistry.

Best words to describe it would be "spoiled uneducated immaturity".

Before you jump me, yes coaching was bad against FL but you don't make quick decisions when emotions are raging and you give them a chance to right the ship of this season. 8-4 was always the suggested goal.

While we are at it.... most of these threads are discussions about false troll information and not fact. The fact everyone wants to believe everything they read that fuels their agenda is ignorant and laughable.

Sorry to say we have "fans" on VN whose agenda is to bash & destroy the coaches no matter what. They had rather be "right" than anything, no matter what happens to the team. :unsure:

This stuff goes on everywhere, recruits and their families should be smart enough to know that this type of stuff hardly ever reflects the vast majority of any schools fan base. Most of them type deals are done by childish nuts, and and they reside in every state and at every campus. Sometimes they are nothing but trolls. No player or parent should take a message board or twitter seriously and for sure should not let it impact their decision on where they go to school. GBO!!!!

I guarantee you it's about 95% of the "fans" here on VN. It's ridiculous. Butch's play calling on Saturday was terrible, and that's all these dumb ass so called fans will bring up. They won't bring up how Butch brought us up from the depths of college football hell thanks to Kiffin,Dooley,and that sorry ass Hamilton. No they only focus on the losses. Hey, guess what you dumb asses, the Saban's and the Meyer's only come around once every now and then. So do I enjoy my team being mediocre? No, but would y'all rather have a bowl win every year or take a chance on a small school coach and take a chance on him being another Dooley? And you Dan Mullen lovers, keep dreaming. He ain't coming here.

What do you mean not good enough? It's simple reality. Every big fan base has idiots that do this and there is no way to stop it. I'm not saying it's right it just is what it is and as long as social media exists it will always happen.

I can't stand idiots doing stupid stuff like this. The kids want to be Vols and they have a great relationship with Coach Jones. Just leave the kids alone good greef.

I find it interesting that in the same sentence, you talk the bashers to task and then bash the recruits who might have a negative reaction to being bashed by fans of a program recruiting them.

You may want to consider the jack wagons doing this are not Tennessee fans at all....

We as fans should base our opinion of Butch by the product he fields and the way he carries himself in public. The players/recruits have the added advantage of knowing him personally..

Be smart and don't let people that don't know sh!t from shinola on social media influence you.
