‘18 CA CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart (USC signee)

This one feels like more of a stretch than the other high caliber guys we're in on. Hopefully he takes the visit and doesn't shut down after some earlier ones.

I don't think its a stretch. He mentioned early playing time he will for sure get that here

We could easily sell him on early playing time. Taylor and Shamburger with Gaulden in the nickel would be a dangerous group. We have decent secondary depth with Osbourne,Labruzza,Bailey,Buchanan, and hopefully Byrd.

There’s a kid with the last name Griffin that would have A LOT to say about this. Byrd as well and I like Osborne in this scheme.

Byrd needs to be put at safety beside Warrior. Let Gaulden play CB and Nickel. So he can have CB on tape for the pros.

Osborne same thing. Cb an nkl

Griffin would start day 1.

Hope we get both. Him and Stuart.

Interesting. He’ll have to put on some serious weight.
Take that with a grain of salt. It’s just what I’ve read in a few threads with some posters I have found respected and reliable over my 8 years on VN.

But yes if that were the case, he’d have to put on some mass. You would think TK jr would have the first shot at S/LB hybrid since he is in fact a bit slow for S.

Where does Maleik Gray fit in?

Why him?

I don't believe he is in the two deep discussion.

A lot of guys ahead of him

TK
Theo Jackson
Abernathy

Byrd moves to safety. Or even Gaulden. A lot of guys ahead of him

Eddie Smith if he signs would start at CB as a freshman as well.
But I think Gaulden gets a shot here. Or perhaps at that star position

Gray is a guy you have to get on the field( I believe) he is a great hybrid guy...

gaulden probably goes pro. why move Byrd to Safety when you have that basically set with current guys? byrd would make more sense at corner imo, if you move him to defense.

Not enough time at CB for Gaulden so fat at TN. And that is where he projects professionally.

I think he first crack there.

Byrd is the best DB we have period...from a talent standpoint.

I don't think we're set at safety.

Byrd is a complete unknown... To say he is the best DB will have says that everyone else on the roster absolutely sucks at that position.. If he is our best.. we are beyond hope next season

He was the best corner at an all-star camp. It's not out of the realm of possibilities, just needs a couple of camps to get it right.

Spring is all about turning over a new leaf, switching positions if that's what a guy wants.

I could totally see him earning first team reps by fall camp and eventually starting.
