I am not certain but I believe there is a difference to Boo if he is dismissed from his scholarship at Tennessee & if he just quits. If Tennessee dismisses him, he may be free to sign a scholarship. If he quits, I believe he has to walk on. Tennessee is probably drawing this out as long as they...
NCAA deserves every butt whipping it’s gets. They tried to protect an archaic system of not paying revenue generating scholarship athletes while schools were paying other scholarship students. Now they continue their stupidity by preventing basic “pay for play” contracts. Allowing athletes &...
Baseball is a middle class & above sport due to cost. I’d say a majority of football players come from backgrounds with income levels below that.
Vitello had his “deal” with Chase Burns. Burns changed schools & teams every year prior to Tennessee.
The entire Baseball rev share is about the...
All due respect but football recruiting & baseball recruiting are far different especially the amount of money involved.
Hindsight is 20/20. Heupel felt he had to get a top QB in ‘23 class after missing on Ty Simpson so they went for Nico. Volnation would have burnt couches again if he’d...
Heupel has dealt with Boo’s infatuation with Colorado all along. I think this is the straw that may have broke the camel’s back however.
If Josh allows him back, he risks losing the entire team. He didn’t let Nico do that, why would he risk it for Boo? Plus, Boo will only pout & complain about...
“Deals” are with collectives for NIL money. There are contracts but are worded to get around the NCAA’s archaic “no pay for play” position. Once a guy isn’t enrolled at Tennessee, the contract is voided as that is one stipulation. Players can walk out at any time.
Boo supposedly not returning Heupel’s calls. In that case, dismiss him now before next week. Don’t start the season with a guy you know damn well will be a cancer.
Boo has a new agent per Swain. A new agent has to attempt for more money. We saw how Heupel handled Nico. I think we can cut to the chase & figure him gone.
One of my biggest Vol FB disappointments was the 2016 team. It got destroyed by a cancer in the locker room. I’d rather go 7-5 knowing...
Sounds like Boo can’t get rid of the Colorado itch. Heupel has been dealing with this aIl along. If that’s where he wants to be, by all means, go there. Money is the only thing that keeps him here it appears. Screw that.
This is now a real job with pay, obligations & expectations. Imagine...
