    Absolutely agree about having a veteran voice. Gainey knows the system, having him being able to more or less coach the other guys in real time on the floor, especially on defense, would be invaluable.

    Maybe taking the extra year just wasn't the best plan. While JJJ just kind of stayed the same, Santi and Fulkerson both regressed, Santi more so. If '21-'22 Santi was on this team they would be crazy good.

    Exactly. You can accomplish a lot with guys that hustle and take coaching. I am extremely proud of the boys tonight.
