Rankin has stated, publicly, that he WILL be at Alcoa in 2011 and has no plans on leaving. However, I do feel he will be there next year but once his son graduates, even though he has an underclassman daughter, I feel his stay there will be very questionable.

For people that know him or know people around him, trust when we say that Tenn football is much better off. Especially if you want to pull away from the "Hey look on ESPN, UT players got arrested again" image that UT has seemed to get lately. Him living knoxville was a completely positive thing...

Technically they only had 1 champion in Wisconsin and Nevada but I do see what you're saying. Hints why i mentioned above about complete conferences or "super conferences" where you would have a north/south or east/west division where the winners would play in a conference championship game and...

The only way a playoff could physically be done and successful is if it consists of Conference Champions ONLY. If you take the top 8 of the standings then 9 and 10 will say they were left out. Same with the top 16 or the top 32. Make 12/16 team super conferences and let the champions play out in...

There is no way that an orange UT basketball jersey is the same color as orange UT football pants. It might just be the material that makes it look different but UT bball jerseys are always darker.

I love how people still hang on National and SEC titles that were won 12/13 years ago. Get over it! The game passed Field Goal Phil by and UT is better off for the future.

The $100,000,000 question should be.....Why does the Orange in the UT Football uniforms not match the Orange in the UT mens basketball jerseys? Should it all be the same color orange?

Spradlin was the one I was thinking of from the 70s. I dont know how I forgot about Upton :fool: The rest however werent D1 scholarship athletes that had any playin time which is what we were discussing. Big Al did sign papers but never played a down at UT.

Alcoa has had open enrollment for aprox 64 years and its never been a problem. It wont be one any time soon either. Just a bunch of haters and whiners gonna complain because they cant put out the talent that Alcoa does! :olol:

Why is everybody acting like changing to Nike would be the end of the world. So they take a horrible looking soccer brand adidas logo off and put a nicer much more modern Nike logo on. Its a win win situation to me.
