Let's not even try to spin this as it's anything to do with time frame. This is the 3rd guy just recently to loose his place. The time frame obviously had nothing to do with the other 2 that were cut loose. They were already Vols. (In their mind and per scout and rivals anyway).
No, In no way did I call the kid a liar. Maybe you need to read my post again. What it says is I think the STAFF telling the kid he waited too long is just not being honest. Yes, I said the STAFF is not being honest. The kid could have said he was a Vol from the day they offered and as we have...
I will not say the same things again as I have made my opinions clear but, To tell the young man he waited too long IMO is obviously not the situation. IF he had decided to commit they would have still cut him lose if they got a higher rated kid interested.
He becomes an instant legend by taking the USC hat...looking in the camera and says..."Lame, you can shove this up your (insert common word here)"!
LMAO!
Maybe he told Simms and Bray he was going to be poking some fun in his videos. I really doubt they would be offended by it. I am pretty sure they both know they are not Peyton Manning.
My concern is it's not like we got down to a team and said "It's practice" it does not really matter". We played our stars, a couple fouled out...tried to come back and win...and just could not out play a smaller, better looking team. IMO, it is cause for concern.
So what's your excuse for the staff telling Parker and Power thanks but no thanks? Both of them were not thinking about being a Vol...they were ALREADY Vols as far as they knew. That was until the staff thought they may land a little higher rated player.
While your talking jobs, consider...
Something else to think about. I see alot of topics talking about new recruits and why the staff has not offered them. Alot of people claim the staff is looking at them or considering them..and an offer will come or maybe they will not get one. With the way this staff has been recruiting with...
No, actually my only issue is the recruiting and the cutting kids with OFFERS loose after telling them they could be a Vol. And to your comment about Offers are given with the explanation that they are dependent on this or that happening is someting I doubt. Otherwise...why would the kid not...
I get the feeling this staff will make this a common practice. Offer the local instate kids just to make it look good. When it comes time to accept the offers....they will be singing a different tune. High Character or Shady dealings?
Oh yeah, because it's obviously better to wait until NSD and when your batch of higher rated guys pick another school and our positional needs have not been met. Then we can just scout the wire for who was arrested and thrown out of another school to see if we can get them enrolled. LOL
I...
Simple, I speak to the 4-5 star young men to gage their interest. If they obviously want to go through the process and decide closer to signing day...I let him know we would love to have him and IF he decides he wants to be a Vol, I will offer him if I have space left. I would be sure to tell...
