    Dead Period....

What is Tennessee Getting in Jeremy Pruitt - Dawg Sports Great read...and actually talks a little about targets, though I think most will say Mays and Alontae Taylor.

    It’s happening

So he will be working solely for Tennessee until 12/18 when the dead period begins. No contact after that point anyway so what does it matter? I definitely do not buy into all this commotion about him coaching Bama if its just because of recruiting because the dead period lasts through the...

Next Year's Record - Early Predictions

Interim after the first year? I don't think that would happen, even if he did go 4-8. That being said I think 4-8 is as about as likely as Pruitt not being a good coach. We will be fine. Like you said...worst case 5-7 but I will go with the median and say 6-6 with a bowl win.

    Dead Period....

2017-2018 NCAA Football Recruiting Calendars So to be clear, Pruitt will be recruiting up til 12/18 when he will return to Bama to start preparations for the playoffs. That gives him a solid week and half to get some things down and in place before the early signing period starts on 12/20...

Next Year's Record - Early Predictions

This....listening to his presser, I think Pruitt will have them ready for the games they are supposed to win every year. No reason we should have lost them this year. I think 7-5 is the sweet spot with both 6-6 and 8-4 possible. Not gonna lie though, if we go 8-4, I will be very confident in...

Who would you rather have as UT AD. Hamilton or Fulmer?

    Hindsight all around...is always better.

Bob Shoop headed to Miss. St at their DC

From what I read in a few spots, sounds like he was hamstrung by Jones, either by hiring the assistants or just letting him have full reign

    Well y'all

I will give you that (I get being jaded after the 4th presser of this likeness in 8 years)...the SEC is not won at the presser. Hoping his credentials in combo with his intangibles works out for us as a great hire. I believe it will

    Well y'all

I will say one thing, and I think it was mentioned in another thread... I think papa Pruitt may have taken him home and took the belt to him again after putting it out there in the presser like that. He did not seem to thrilled at that. Of course he could just have that sort of face. Either...

National/local media reactions for Pruitt hire

and now for the obligatory rebuttal of: But Smart, Fisher, and Kiffin. Some have it, some don't. I for one believe Mr. Pruitt has what some like to call the "intangibles" He will be good, possibly great.

Poll: You happy with Pruitt hire?

To me...saying that is so subjective. Anyone is a solid hire until they are a great one or not. I seriously wonder what the Clemson fan boards looked like when they went out and hired a WR Coach (Spelled out...Wide Receivers Coach, that's at least 2 steps below a coordinator.) My guess is...

Poll: You happy with Pruitt hire?

I will screenshot this for 2018. I think that will be a much closer game than you seem to expect. Who knows how 2018 plays out but that is one of the games that I believe we have a solid chance to win, of course we are still 9 months away from football. A lot can change (Taggart was the HC of 3...

    Gut feeling on Pruitt?

Between his experience, coaching prowess thus far, the staff he is assembling, and watching that presser yesterday...I think we have a shot at once again being a perennial 10-11 win team. That being said I agree we will once again have to be PATIENT. Patience for me will look different...

    6:05 Press Conference

It was also reported that he was willing to take less in order to hire some of the best coordinators. Hoping its the 4 mil range and we save about 1 mil to add to assistant salaries

Yea. Agree. I was trying hard to be sarcastic and failed miserably
