Previously no but with the new NIL regs that they now have to be approved for legitimacy certainly will some. Scholarships aren’t exactly cheap either. Especially for out of state.

This is unreal that Michigan just executed the biggest cheating scandal in college football history and didn't receive a single scholarship reduction. That's some flippin BS right there.
They most certainly have not been cooperating. They refused to enter a negotiated solution and elect to fight much of the NCAA's investigation. But because they are one of the chosen/preferred schools they will get a lighter sentence for lack of cooperation than we would have for acting the same...
Yep. The list is incredibly inaccurate. Syracuse also has half the number of living alumni as Tennessee and they are in a state/region that doesn't care about college football. There is absolutely no way. Oh and it's NYT's. LMAO.

Edit: Never mind. I think you were talking national championships and not just being in the playoff as the OP asked.
I wasn't impressed with his HS film, but I have to admit that when I sat in the stands and watched the QB's during the spring day, he was - in my opinion - far more comfortable than Merk and I also thought more accurate and poised. I won't be at all surprised if he's 1 or 2 at the end of camp...
