Lots of degrees provide earnings similar to a plumber or electrician, but with earnings delayed by 4 years and lots of debt added. Some degrees are definitely worth the effort and expense. Not all degrees are the same. The very general statements of value seem harmful to me.
I read recently that over 40% of voters consider themselves independent. That leaves less than 30% as either active Democrats or Republicans. 15% of voters can get excited about one candidate and make them the nominee of either party. The rest of us are stuck with choices made by 15%.
The current system isn't working well when 70% of the country doesn't like either option. I read recently that 28 percent consider themselves Democrats and 28 percent consider themselves Republicans. Half of either group can pick a candidate. Really it could be less than that considering...
It's ironic that this kind of gerrymandering was promoted by the Civil rights movement of the 1960s as a way to ensure election of black members. I think it's made politics more divisive by electing members with less diverse districts.
I had a college roommate who told me he had documentation that would have allowed him to vote in two states. Accepting student IDs would make it even easier to vote in your home state and your college state.
I expect even more negative campaigning than usual. Some with a goal of convincing voters who might vote for the opposition to not vote. "I know you won't vote for my guy but you don't want to vote for your guy who can't form a complete sentence or find his way off a stage."
There are other bully breeds and the option to have a cross with a similar breed. GA could still be the bulldogs with a mascot that is bred to be more naturally shaped and healthier.
Maybe they are hurt by illegal immigration, high inflation, etc.
Plus there's the theory that it takes a whole lot of education (indoctrination) to believe that silence is violence but rioting is not, men can be women, etc.
I read something about an awards ceremony for Russian soldiers being hit in retaliation for an awards ceremony for Ukrainian soldiers being hit. This could be the event.
