The 2024-25 class is the first four-year senior class to miss the free Covid year, so if they pass an ‘everyone gets five years’ rule and start it with the 2025-26 seniors, the 2025 seniors would stick out as the only ones without a fifth year. They’d have a good argument in court.

I know that NIL is not funded by the school, but the school and the collective share donors. If someone makes a big donation to one or the other, they may have less to give to the other one. Someone else pointed out in here that this probably affects capital improvements more than a coach’s...

The school isn’t paying NIL, but if the school and collective are chasing the same donors, there is only so much funding available. Even if the school is not literally requesting a donation to help pay a coaching staff, they’re asking for donations to help with something on their books.
