Here the problem with trying to use this argument. Are you saying if Risacher spent his first NBA season in college, instead of the NBA, then he would not be washing out? With additional time and resources to dedicate to his craft, he has failed to develop but a year in college with less time...
His ceiling is what is enticing. His possibility to produce this season seems very minimal. Physically and mentally/emotionally he will see a big adjustment period to the expectations inside the UT program.
This is not a tip-toe around it to coddle feelings answer. But if you think he should or might stay then one of these 2 things are the cause of your opinion:
1. Grossly ignorant of the facts of the situation
or
2. Simply unable to shake your UT fan bias towards what you want to see happen...
