Impressive move by CBJ given the coaching tenure over last 3 coaching stops with Jancek and the closeness of families....both Catholic, both sons same age, graduated from high school together, walk-ons together, etc.... good reminder of what a tough occupation it is....ripples reaching far out.

Any head coach wants to control all variables he can; leave it up to college players to responsibility/timely make their way after days off? SMH from players viewpoint....any time off campus is fun, no matter size of hometown or family, these players are "big time" and relish that time off to...

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable about ins and outs of recruiting can explain the absence of recruits from North Carolina? I would think that being the dominant state school located on the extreme contiguous side of NC would make us in the running for cherry picking some of the better recruits...

Yet, UT has one of the highest hikes in student tuition. Washington Post had excellent article about athletic departments running in the red, at a loss, and UT was high up on that list. so, really hard for the average fan to understand various reports.

Michigan DC just named for Maryland; I don't see any VOLS coaches named HC; maybe in a couple of years after significant wins against ranked opponents.....but, need longer body of work.
