C'mon now. Did somebody hold a gun to his head and make him do this? It's not his fault that college ball is where it is today but he certainly chose this path.

Nico doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb on the string but surely he isn't dumb enough to walk away from his deal at UT without a guarantee of something better, likely out West. My question is, has the new school realized what kind of dude they are getting? The dude who will screw you over...

Just heard Jayson Swain say you best prepare for "life after Nico" because there's no coming back from this. I suspect Swain knows a little about it. So, it's time for the Merk and McIntyre show!

I think Heupel's reaction to Nico's demand tells me all I need to know.

If Nico did not show up for practice, he is toast. It won't matter if somebody is running a "smear campaign."

The way I see it, it ain't about Nico anymore. I think this is a test of Heupel. If he allows players to "hold out" and damage the team, he puts himself in great danger. I think his only choice is to tell Nico to kick rocks. It's not like Nico was going to set the world on fire anyway.

Remember the good old days when all we had to worry about was the coach "losing the locker room?" Now I'm more concerned about the quarterback losing the team and the fan base. This is a sh*t sandwich, folks.

Doesn't really matter what Will reports. The players on the team and potential recruits are fully aware of what's happening. Their decisions won't hinge on what a broadcaster or some poster on a message board puts out. They know the score.

I think I fell into the trap of believing that only superstars could grab the kind of cash that Nico pulled down. Truth is, he had an average to below average year. I know he was a red shirt freshman but if his performance next season is not dramatically better, I'm willing to say we overpaid...

Man. Another soul-shaking loss just when you thought you were over the hump. It's what Tennessee does. It's what Tennessee fans must endure. I understand that this team can still win some meaningful games but we also have learned they can lose them just as easily. No rest for the weary...
