    Monday Coach Jones Presser

After watching Butch's presser I continue to feel very strongly that he is the right coach for Tennessee. He has the Vols headed in the right direction. Unfortunately coming from where you were to where you want to be takes infinitely more time than the fans want, which is normal. I know that...

    Hey OU fans

Mayfield may be mediocre and time will tell but it was learned for certain that when he has his back against the wall he will not quit and can most definitely lead a team to victory.

    Hey OU fans

Understand your frustration. Very easy to think go for it and win the game. The other side is go for it a come up short and the game momentum switches to the Sooners with the young Vols and fans deeply frustrated. Perhaps Butch would have gone for the TD with a more seasoned team that would...

    Confident Oklahoma Fans

Question. If the Vols played the tide annually in Birmingham, AL would Vol fans consider that a neutral site. Playing Texas in Dallas is not a traditional road game but it darn sure is not a neutral site either. Not unlike Georgia vs Florida in Jacksonville, FL. I am certain the Bulldog...

Are we changing the discussion from how OU handles playing on the road in front of large hostile crowds to he crowds the Vols play against. I would change the subject if your initial point is invalid. Net, net. I am taking 5 days touring the state of Tennessee and the UT campus. I am...

For the last 3 years OU is 13-2 (.867) in true road games. In the last 5 years they are 19-6 (.760). During that period they have wins at Baylor, at TCU, at Notre Dame and at Florida State all but TCU were double digit wins. Not a bad road record by anyone's standards.

Definitely agree we do not have a classical home advantage but Stoops won-loss record on Owen Field would indicate it is one of the most difficult place for a visiting opponent to get a win. Locally it is referred to as the "Snake Pit" for a reason. Of course the quality of the Sooner...

I fully expect your fans will. Excepting the typical drunks at all schools making asses of themselves.

Return of Todd Kelley Jr. and OU's finesse offense

Front seven with be the strength of this defense. They will be experienced, talented and have some good size but not the size of Kahlil McKenzie. Tackles in the rotation go 300# except for a starter that goes 260#. DE end average 250# with the star on defense weighing only 222#.

So....are the zebras going to call a fair game this year or what???

One must not forget that the officials last year were provided by the SEC and this year will be provided by the Big 12. Visiting team normally provides the refs except in the Pac 12 which requires all non-conference games use Pac 12 officials.

    Orlando Brown

Don't know how they will call it but I think as is the case with most non-conference games, excepting the Pac12, the visiting team's conference provides the officials. last year the SEC provided the refs.

One must remember the article appeared in the Oklahoma Daily, OU's school newspaper. Kid do stupid things.

Can't speak for most Sooner fans but I'm making the 900 mile trek to watch two storied football programs play a close fought football game in a storied stadium. I think a non-conference game between traditional powers like OU vs Tenn is one key elements that make college football the epitome of...
